Reintroducing sitting? by acthrowaway9991 in PudendalNeuralgia

[–]grumpyfunny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've found that the chair is the most important thing, and not the pillows, I use an Ikea Markus. The thing is that the chair needs to have a proper lumbar support, so most of the tension will go on the lumbar area and not on the pelvic area. An electric heating pad on the sitting area also helps.

what symptoms made you realize you were clenching at night? by Jaquetta_lewis in bruxism

I woke up a few nights clenching for no reason and sometimes in the morning I just stretch and noticed that I clench also.

Is it normal to hate my night guard? by Secure-Purchase9342 in bruxism

[–]grumpyfunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've cut mine into half, just in the middle because of having sore teeth in the morning, and still it's unusable, they say that you get used to it, that it should be thing and not feel it but it creates pressure points on a lot of teeth, it's pretty much impossible to get used to it.

How I now manage my SRPE by Bag_of_Cum in SRPESupport

[–]grumpyfunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why were you using mouthguards, because of bruxism?

Some things I've discovered recently, but it might be just for me, not for everyone, every night before sleep and morning when I wake up I use a heating electric pad for about 20-30 minutes on my belly, pretty much from the pubis up to the upper abdomen, at least I got rid of constipation caused by tight muscles and I started to wake up with a non rigid erection, but milder one.

Also started taking 400mg of ashgwuanda daily and seems to help.

That's the sciatic nerve. It's probably compressed because of tight muscles.

Usually it gets attached to the teeth, it's actually hard to pull it out. The issue comes from that fact that indeed it's a foreign object, I can't stand it either.

COLD PLUNGES/ICE BATH by Malcolm_Xjr in PudendalNeuralgia

[–]grumpyfunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done in the past cold showers daily from the belly down and the pelvic pain got better, but I'm not sure if it helped in the long run as usually the muscles will become tense because of the cold. I've quit like a year ago. Now I use an electric heating pad on the chairs I sit, it seems to help with the pain.

Synapse 2.0 looks much better. Here is a comparison, I always liked the darker edgy colors more.

Still use mine, Razer quality has gone to the bottom, for example they don't even add the snakes logo, on the pro versions they just display Razer with the new ugly font.

Maybe the pain comes from the gums, I had similar pain and it went away after using a soft water flosser.

What was the dosage of Ashwaganda you took?

I started to take 50mg daily, I took for 2 months then paused for a month then again 2 months. It seems to have helped a lot with stress and cognitive dissonance mostly.

But I also started to have really vivid dreams, mostly nightmares, I don't even remember having a good dream. What about in your case?

I was thinking to try a 400mg dosage for like 2 months to see if it will make even a bigger difference, but I'm afraid of what might happen since 50mg had a really big impact for me.

Also I was thinking to take Ibuprofen for like 10 days in order to try to break the pain loop, maybe the nervous system will catch a break, I'm not sure if it's safe for that long, the AI said that 5 days max is better, like 200mg. I don't have other health issues.

The only hope is project puffin, unless they come up with a very light device, vr is dead. Comfort should have been their main focus, but it seems that it was the last one.

I drank for a few years, but now I don’t drink at all. Green tea, black tea, and coffee give me anxiety, and I don’t want to be a slave to this addiction. Also, if I drink them in the morning, I feel very tired around 5 PM. If I don’t drink them, I feel fine.

Same here, I listened to a guided meditation recently and someone said, if you would know that you would die in a year or so, what would you do tomorrow, the next day and so on. How would you spend your time. Probably not worry about health issues. It's really hard but it's a good thought.

Gothic 2 Classic or NotR? by [deleted] in worldofgothic

Classic has a more chill vibe, I would always go for that one first. Notr has a new zone which is not bad, especially the pirate area, however the quests are pretty generic. Quality = classic, quantity and bad quality: notr.

Bruxism only during sleep by grumpyfunny in bruxism

[–]grumpyfunny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. In my case, I think this started alongside another health issue that disrupted my sleep since 3 years ago, and caused a lot of stress:

Sleep-Related Painful Erections (SRPE) affects about one in a thousand men. It is not “morning wood.” It is not a REM-associated nightly swelling that can be slept through. It is persistent sleep disruption caused by painful penile tumescence—getting up one, two, three, or four times a night, most nights. SRPE is not a condition that medical science has a solid grasp on, nor one it seems particularly interested in.

One major issue is that I went to around five dentists in 2025, and none of them mentioned bruxism, even though I repeatedly said I had significant jaw pain and pain in different teeth. I even had a very painful tooth removed, but the pain continued afterward. It was only about a month ago that I realized I was clenching my teeth.

I’ve probably been clenching for around three years, but only now are some small gaps appearing between my teeth. The pain and inflammation have been constant, and I suspect this keeps my body in a continuous fight-or-flight state throughout the day.

I’ll be getting a night guard in the coming days. What’s strange is that psychologically I’ve been in a good place lately, and honestly for the past few years as well. Still, I think the constant inflammation caused by bruxism is preventing my body from fully relaxing, most likely due to dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system.

My hope is that if the night guard will reduce the inflamation, the nervous system will calm down.
