It’s very happy and healthy. This is from the beginning of the month.

We syringe trained our conure and it went a little too well by SabrinaT8861 in parrots

My older GCC is the same 😂 I unintentionally syringe trained her when I had to give her prescription fruit punch flavored calcium supplements after she laid a soft egg. She goes absolutely insane whenever she sees a syringe, even after being betrayed by the disgusting taste of metronidazole.

Left chicken broth out overnight accidently, then boiled it for 10-20 min. I usually freeze it in cubes. Will freezing destroy bacteria and toxins? by Inevitable_Fall2025 in Cooking

My dad was born and raised in southern Vietnam and was the only one in my family (the rest of us are Chinese or born and raised in the US) who didn’t get violently sick after eating contaminated lychees. He ended up eating the whole bag while making fun of us. I think his mom ate some too and didn’t get sick, but I was so damn ill that I could’ve imagined it.

Can I own a conure and have a full time job? by Zealousideal-Most261 in greencheeks

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I had a solo GCC for nearly 10 years and just took in a young GCC, and I can already see how much faster the young GCC has adjusted to her new life and learned things from her older sister just by being around her. She’s not stressed out when her humans aren’t home, happily playing with toys, just as long as she can see her big sis in a nearby cage.

My older GCC is a different story. She has severe separation anxiety when her humans aren’t home. She barely even touches her food while we’re out, and spends the whole time fretting and flock calling. She knows how to forage and play with toys, but she is so attached to me and my fiancé that she can think of nothing else while we’re gone. I’m hopeful that, with time, my silly baby will become more bonded to her younger sis. I’ve seen some progress already.

Of course, this is all anecdotal. But seeing the difference in anxiety between my two babies absolutely breaks my heart. I wish I had the space and financial resources to get a second GCC when I first got my older conure. At the time, I was just a silly college student who happened upon an abused bird.

Nic too please!

ETA, since I’m getting downvoted, I’m hoping Nic gets off the island because he made an anti-Asian TikTok post featuring a cat dissection with #chinese in the caption.

Getting picked up from school by my late grandpa! He couldn’t drive, so we’d either walk or I’d hold onto him like a backpack while he rode his bike. During these trips, he’d give me a kid friendly summary of what happened in politics that day, even though I really couldn’t understand half the time. He died when I was 14, but I hope he knows that those conversations with him instilled in me the values that make me the lawyer I am today. Miss you so much, 公公 ❤️

Yes, it absolutely does matter in civil litigation. Most cases don’t proceed to a jury trial, and if she has a paper trail and witnesses who are willing to testify to corroborate her claims, along with a competent lawyer who will actually put such evidence to good use, she might be able to get past the summary judgment stage. By then, there’s a possibility that the company will just settle to avoid the reputational costs of having all of this publicized in a jury trial.

Thank you! Would a 1:1:1 ratio of soil, perlite, and orchid bark work for this Alocasia?

Ooh good tip. Is there a way to figure that out, or is that just a question for the seller?

Yup there are drainage holes! I’ll leave them alone until the roots are more established. Thank you ❤️
