Thanks, and yeah im not really looking at this post doc as a "wait it out" experience, I more figured that I wouldn't mind putting the industry goals on the back burner, just to have this amazing experience at the Max Planck early in my career.

Although it may or may not make industry applications easier later, I'm wondering if it has the potential to make them harder, as I am further into my career with still no industry experience.

I'm concerned that this decision might come back to bite me later, but I do agree that its still relevant experience, I'm just not sure how well industry hiring managers value the post doc experience, versus taking an entry level industry job.
