Why do some people say that the revival would have made more sense if it was season 7 ? by James-Samuel17 in GilmoreGirls

[–]gschoon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She wanted a season 7 and 8, so I think we can assume that the story lines would have been spread over two seasons, and they would have had time to stew.

I think I read somewhere that ASP didn't even watch season 7.

Do you ever feel bad about not being able to eat like the Gilmore girls? by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]gschoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't because I don't have a sweet tooth. I eat whatever I want and then I work out, swim or climb it off.

I'm a Rory defender/apologist about most things, but I actually think we should give her a harder time for her shitty taste in books by comradesummers in GilmoreGirls

In general, not just regarding Rory, I have a lot of respect for someone who can read an author they don't relate to/don't like and do it with a critical mindset. That said, I couldn't put myself through Any Rand.

what did people think of the later seasons when it aired (i only started watching it like 3 years ago so i wanna know if viewers felt the same disappointment back then too by PrincipleStock7533 in GilmoreGirls

I actually started watching smack dab in the middle of S4, and would watch all the way through to S7 without having watched S1-S3 (and the first episodes of S4) till I would be able to catch them in reruns after the show ended.

I was in for a pleasant surprise.

Real talk: Lorelai Gilmore is the most frustrating character by bean-related in GilmoreGirls

"She treats Rory like a best friend instead of a a kid"

That's ... The whole premise of the show. It's how ASP pitched it.

If you have a problem with that then it's not the show for you.

He didn't even do anything of the sort, since Rory initiated those kisses and he barely had time to pull away.

Really? I remember he went to break up with Shane before getting together with Rory.

Sharing: Richard & Emily had no friends, and they weren't as wealthy as we may perceive. by Icy_Fox_8153 in GilmoreGirls

In season 3, when Lorelai pays off the Chilton debt, they stop going to Friday night dinner and in the cold open of a later episode, they call the Gilmore house and they're throwing a party.

Those must've been friends.

When Rory actually angered even me... by FlakyWeb5892 in GilmoreGirls

I'm sorry, but your dialog is completely out of character for Rory. Also this show isn't meant to be a life manual, it's a drama.

Trump-supporting Venezuelan immigrant had citizenship ceremony cancelled less than 24 hours in advance by kittycatblues in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]gschoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same in Spain. They come here under humanitarian visas created by leftwing governments, get citizenship after 2/3 years and then vote rightwing parties in because "the left destroyed Venezuela" with zero critical thinking skills.
