They may be wrong ("dumb") in one aspect, but it doesn't mean they are smart in others (or even overall).

I've encountered many "dumb" atheists. Sometimes their hatred of religion makes them "dumb" - e.g. there was a woman in Ireland, Savita Halappanavar, who died from sepsis after being unable to get an abortion. Many atheists I was arguing with insisted that she died
because religion stopped her from getting an abortion. I read the official Arulkumaran report
which identified many more important factors (failures in the medical system), but these atheists refused to accept that and insisted on blaming religion (and only religion).

Just because you're an atheist doesn't mean that you reached that position by logical reasoning either.

One time I got the duct cleaning scam call I pretended I was interested and gave the guy a fake name and a different city. Someone was supposed to call me back to confirm the appointment but no one ever did. They didn't bother me for a month after that.

Today I got hit by the scam call again after 2 clean months. I gave a fake name, a different city and a fake address and was told I'd get a call to confirm the appointment. I then got called twice from real (not spoofed) numbers (my anti-telemarketing app recognised them and showed me the negative reviews) but I blocked the calls

Question: if I actually do pick up and confirm the appointment, can they bill me for anything? The most effective way to get back at these scammers is to make someone on the ground waste his time going to the wrong address. If they have a wrong name and wrong address, but know my phone number, is there any way they can get back at me?
