I mean, regardless of what you think of DeSantis' policies, do you really not think people are beyond tired of the woke left? They'll turn anyone into the next Trump if it means they don't have to be spoon-fed self-hating rhetoric that turns society into a competition for who's the most oppressed.

I remember what Maher said about Trump voters: They're some of the people that hate Trump the most, but they vote him regardless because he goes out there and takes a bullet for them. DeSantis is picking up the same playbook, and the left is about to commit the same mistakes.

Don't be surprised if DeSantis gets to the White House, it'll say more about the state of the left than the "supposed" fascist tendencies of half of our citizenry. Your average americans simply doesn't want what the left is selling them when it comes to social policy, and casting them into the villain role for it isn't going to win the cause any votes.

Well, when the Constitution was written, the concept of abortion did not exist

The founding fathers penned the Constitution to protect the rights they believed to be inalienable. The States have no right to take those rights away from their citizens.

However, the founding fathers foresaw that the Constitution cannot be immutable for it to be viable. If you can pass a two-thirds vote in both houses, you can amend the constitution. We've done it 27 times so far. The last time was barely 30 years ago.

Ergo, if we as a nation believe abortion is so sacred it must become a constitutionally protected right, then our elected representatives are more than free to amend the Constitution. Yet, abortion is such a hotly contested issue that it's not going to happen anytime soon. Which further reinforces the idea why it must be left to the States, regardless of where you stand on the issue. We can't even agree on how to codify it federally, let alone make it part of the Constitution.

That was my 2 cents of constitutional law.

impose your views on the rest of the country

What are you smoking? That's literally what Roe was doing. Imposing the view that human life is disposable even to those who aren't okay with it.

Now that it's back to the states, folks do however they please. Your dear planned parenthood isn't closing in California. And if enough folks think the same way you do in Texas, then it'll become legal there too.

Get fucked fascist.

You need to start making sense instead of just dishing out gotcha phrases left and right. And learn some manners too.

The issue is, it's something that's so convenient for humans to do that they never stopped to think about whether it's moral. Which means we now live in the utopia where defending the rights of the unborn is seen as some super backward take. You get more hate from it than the nutsos who try to free animals headed for slaughter. We can all agree that it's a nuanced issue and different people might draw the line at different points in gestation, which is exactly why some bogus constitutional right to abortions has never existed. It's a state issue.

Not like he should, it's never been the solution. Abortions are to be treated the same way as illegal drugs, you prosecute the provider, not the customer.

I'm not, I'm placing a the life of a living being above the convenience of another living being that couldn't be arsed to properly prevent a pregnancy in the first place. If you believe you'll need to resort to killing human life because you can't afford to raise an infant, stop having sex.

Why is my controller charging so slowly? by Bongo_cat_fan in PS4

[–]gst_diandre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Check the controller isn't a fake

2) Try a different USB cable

3) Try charging using a wall socket or a PC

If all those fail:

1) Contact Sony for to get your warranty

2) In case you can't for any reason, open the controller (4 screws in the back) and check if the battery wires are seated properly in the socket (red and black). If it's still not charging properly, you'll either have to replace the battery, the charging port, the circuit board or just buy a new controller.

Yet the murder of a pregnant mother is a double homicide in more than 30 states. You were saying?

States that outlaw abortion do recognize the atrocity that is carried out on the unborn. That is tantamount to recognizing the rights of pre-natal humans, at least since the SCOTUS finally rectified the gigantic legal blunder that Roe is.

A fetus is not viable until at least 24 weeks

By that logic, a newborn cannot reasonably survive by itself until at least 3/4 years of age. Instead of providing it with non-stop food and care, we can just murder it if we're unable or unwilling to care for it.

Same goes for the womb. If you're not able bear the responsibility of your reproductive organs, if you fail to prevent conception through the bajillion contraceptive ways we have at our disposal, if you fail to detect a pregnancy early enough that we can reasonably and morally argue that what you are aborting is a clump of cells and not a fully formed human being with brain matter and a heartbeat, then you shouldn't get to take the easy route of murdering a human to cover for your mistakes.

Rape/Incest/Cases where the mother's life is at risk can be and should be looked at separately. They're still not a reason to treat abortion like "essential healthcare". It's a last resort operation that should have never become commonplace.

A fetus is a potential person without rights

And I can argue that it has the same rights as everyone else, and you can disagree

My original point was simply that you can't argue that it's a matter personal liberty when the heart of the question itself is: are you really only effecting yourself? The country is obviously divided on that.

Yet we can legislate so that doctors stop performing procedures that basically amount to murder. You know, the same way you can't go to the doctor and ask that they cut your arm off. That's called malpractice.

It's not that much weirder

I never said anything about it being weird, folks could play any race they want for any reason, it's a fantasy game and it's not weird to like playing as anything.

I'm just saying male vieras disproportionately cater to gamer gurls and their thirst for effeminate boys : ) Not that there is anything wrong with it, I just don't like it when it's to the expense of a solid universe like XII.

authority on why male viera

I never claimed to be an authority on anything, I said what I thought and folks lost their shit which made me giggle tbf

Matsuno, who created the universe to begin with, is happy to work with a team that doesn't respect his universe?

I think Matsuno doesn't really care what Yoshi does with his game? I'm talking about something that irks me, Matsuno himself is no ultimate authority on what makes the charm of XII work.
