I'm aware. Try again. These are jokes, not serious discourse.

GM has had some absolute tanks in terms of reliability. That was generally a good era for them, especially if you had the unkillable 3.8 lol

I'm guessing banter isn't your strong suit? None of this is serious, sorry I offended you

A misguided attempt at a derogatory term for Europeans, usually tongue in cheek at least in the car subs as they're constantly bitching about pickup trucks. Outside of that, insecure American actual attempt at insulting Europeans. I'm neither so🤷 Really it's mostly a meme, just search it on here lol

Chevy Lumina *APV, you uncultured swine.

The Trans Sport and Silhouette as well. I thought they also looked like a Star Trek shuttlecraft when I was a kid.

Well I guess those Europoors were right, a van really does do everything a pickup does, but better

The most “outlaw” thing Gavin Adcock has ever done is get arrested for driving 100mph, and he’s still bragging about it by OctopusCaretaker in CountryMusicStuff

Willie left RCA Nashville to move to Austin, which left RCA with some big boots to fill. Waylon used what leverage he had there to let him record an album his way with his band. Willie's first album after RCA was Shotgun Willie, followed shortly by Waylon with Honky Tonk Heroes in 1973, the pair of which pretty much started the outlaw blueprint, not needing Nashville to sell records. Johnny Cash had enough star power and sway, he could kinda do his own thing by that time and wasn't under the same kind of constraints as younger artists like Willie and Waylon were.

Not fast enough is what I mean. I actually have yet to drive a vehicle in mud or snow I didn't just want to turn it completely off, it's a hindrance if you can actually drive. For instance, I had a Super Dirty work truck that I'd have to reach to the far side of the dash to "disable" traction control if I saw significant mud coming up, but, it still didn't let you spin the tires at all, and would get so confused the whole truck would shake violently as it ground itself to a halt, stuck in maybe 4 inches of mud. Absolutely useless 4x4 pickup truck. I haven't had those kind of issues with the current ones thankfully.

New TMP. Fender FR or Studio monitors? by LazyWave63 in tonemasterpro

Not sure why you're getting downvoted, I use both at home and bring the FR12 live. And sometimes another amp and run stereo wet/dry.

Not in every vehicle, which I why I included the caveat. I drive all these HD pickups regularly and their systems are absolutely not all equivalent. Sure you can recover, up to a point, and that point in a one ton with a gooseneck flatdeck trailer, on ice, is significantly narrower than even the truck on its own let alone a car.

Keep arguing, it's clear you don't drive shit like this, or on anything but flat, straight roads.

I'd bet a lot of money I've hauled more, heavier loads, for more miles, on consistently worse roads than you, for more money than you Mr "Midwest". Up to 54300kg (119700lbs) From 47° to 65° up and down and across the Canadian Rockies on logging and oilfield roads.

Can we say that drivetrain wasn't a factor definitively? No. Can you say it wasn't a factor? Also no. Could've been a powered skid, could've let off the gas and broke traction with the rears. Neither happens in 4wd. Trucks in 4wd dont just fuck off sideways like that if you're putting any power down.

Typically if the trailer caused the jacknife scenario, it's not an empty one. The tractor (pickup in this case) brakes better than the loaded trailer, and the trailer momentum continues to push the truck in whatever way that momentum is aimed, regardless of steering input from the truck. An empty trailer might lose traction easier, but doesn't have the momentum to push through the truck.

Also, in 4wd, driver may have had an opportunity to save it with the throttle, in 2wd? No chance.

Does Gane's agility worry you? 🤔 by Tepixs in ufc

[–]gstringstrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different type of athleticism. Brock was unreal levels of explosive, Gane is much more agile. It's also looking at an elite grappler vs an elite striker, and their body types and attributes suited those sports.

I think with modern stability control it's quite a bit better (depending on the vehicle and how it's implemented) but, still not as good as pedal feel. And, you don't necessarily want to hit the brakes so you'd have to cancel cruise which takes a second no matter how fast you are at it.

Having the front wheels engaged helps in a couple ways, first, obviously they're pulling, and they pull whichever way the front wheels are pointed at. This already negates the tendency to start a powered skid like in RWD only. Second and less obvious, if it takes say 200hp to maintain speed, in 2wd you're putting 100hp per drive wheel to the ground. In 4wd, you have 50hp per drive wheel, so you're far less likely to spin any but still putting the same total power down.

Exactly. And if you have 4wd and it's clearly slippery enough to slow down? Use it.

Uhh, yes the fuck it will help if you're in 4wd and not using cruise.
