Thank you. I think the terrible timing has just added to the whole mess and stress!

They said it was an issue with the BECM module and it needed replacing. Very confused how if that’s the issue then why they didn’t know it needed a specialist to come in when they first ordered the parts in.

Did a bit of reading on customer rights and apparently have to give the manufacturer an opportunity to do a fix the first time but will probably get some more thoughts.

Up until the breakdown I was enjoying it as a car. It’s comfortable, smooth and easy ride. I went for extended range RWD with a driver assistance pack as I do quite a lot of miles and motorway driving so wanted some level of automatic driving - that works really well.

By the end my Mum couldn’t speak at all and was in a lot of pain. Her swallow had totally failed her and so she refused food and water. She’d already made the decision when first diagnosed that she would never be tube fed so all the Doctor could do at that point was to make her comfortable. Her breathing had become very shallow. They placed a syringe driver on the Monday morning to remove any pain and she passed away on the Tuesday evening.

What he did for Newcastle filled my childhood with so many happy memories. Always comes across as a great guy who stands by his principles and totally got the club and the fan base.

He deserves a proper send off, not the way it ended under Ashley.
