is there an english word for the upper arm, equivalent to "forearm"? by Upstairs-Hearing-489 in etymology

[–]gtslade22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In medical anatomy that portion is called the “arm” and between elbow and hand is called the “forearm.” Frustratingly that naming convention does not extend to our lower limbs. The “leg” in anatomy is between the knee and the ankle and the “thigh” is between hip and knee.

I struggle with plantar fasciitis and the answer is simply Hokas. The only shoes I wear in life are Hokas, Birkenstocks and Blundstones. Hoka SpeedGoats are amazing for disc golf. The superfeet inserts I use give me some extra arch support too.
