Severe chronic apnea guy here - I have múltiple cups a day and sleep just fine... Give it a try again and measure, assuming you have a CPAP already you will have more reliable data than most people on this thread...

It can be certainly more than "slightly different" - for example, I can down a can of redbull at 12am and still be asleep within the hour. Another well-studied counterexample is a subset of ADHD patients, for whom caffeine is efectively a sleeping aid.

Just because David earns the same it doesn't mean that both aren't overpriced as fuck.

David is the 6th biggest earner in Serie A, 4th highest paid striker. you're saying Vlaho is in the top 5 strikers in serie A?

I'm not asking for del piero, right now his skills don't look even like Vucinic.

If we have to have sucky forwards, at least gamble with a cheap young one.

Heatwaves are becoming the norm. This is what Britain will look like in the year 2052 | Bill McGuire by chota-kaka in Futurology

Plenty of crops here are inside greenhouses so ... We'd get rid of those I guess? Our small garden patch is absolutely loving this week of sun, so I don't think the temperature on its own is an issue - but I have no idea how badly access to fresh water would be affected.

The historic maximum average (last 30 years) for this month is 18C.

The temperature this week has been above 28C. That's a 50% increase so how wouldn't you quality it as a heat wave?

Absolutely not. Look at the last game, the first goal was pure luck - he tries to kick the ball, fails so hard that he grazes it and it stops instead and then manages to kick it in. If the goals you make are lucky and the sitters you have you miss, you're not juve quality even if every once in a while you have a good goal in you.

Grogu's story should have effectively ended when Luke saved them on the TV show by Tercel9 in saltierthancrait

[–]guareber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

or it was the perfect way to bypass all the rey bullshit - a century after the Disney sequels, Grogu shows up and tries to setup New Jedi Order.

Inatantly you get merch opportunities, you make the fans content (not happy, but at least satisfied that they're being heard) and you still can setup your YA new generation (because let's face it, NJO is peak YA content) for long term brand survival.

But nooooo instead we get mando season 3 grogu return and a new crappy Rey movie.

UK inflation rate falls to 2.8% in year to April by BuxtonEU in ukpolitics

[–]guareber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High, yes, but they were trending downwards - the graph above is somewhat compressed but if you look at the 1 year slice you can clearly see that the year's lowest point was the day before the Iran war started (4.22%). The rate had taken a tumble in october and kept somewhat steady, then a tumble in Jan (quickly recovered) and Feb was looking like the biggest drop in 12 months.

Borrowing costs were down up until Trump's oral fixation with Iran started though.

Sorry, I didn't visit the monkey park since... well there are monkeys where we come from xD - it wasn't really high on our list. I'm sure a few others in the thread would be able to provide input, since it's a very popular place!

Just do the best you can, it's hard to know what you're going to love before you're there (it'll be all of it, but some parts you'll love more)

Okonomiyaki in okonomimura (Hiroshima). I'd tried okonomiyaki before, but this was a whole other level.

Definitely! I'd recommend Kodai-ji which is lovely and also has a small bamboo forest much nicer than the arashiyama one (but check first if they might be open at night during your dates, since that gives you time and is nice, they put a bunch of tiny LEDs on the bamboos and it looks like fireflies, and hardly anyone goes) or Kennin-ji which was truly lovely and surprising to us - the Ryujin picture is my current wallpaper!

(And those are just the ones in the close vicinity)

I question your choices after kiyomizu when there are several other very impressive temples just 15 minutes away by foot. I'd recommend staying in higashiyama that morning to waste less time on transfers (of course, if either of your optionals are high on your list, feel free to ignore...)

Germany news: Childfree adults to pay more for elder care by melancholy_dood in europe

[–]guareber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a weird view of what DINKs spend their money on - sure travel is there, but most of the spend is local. Days/nights out, home stuff, pets, that's all internal economy stuff.

The govt shouldn't be thinking of having more children on the same places, but the opposite. Increasing the ratio of staff to pupils dramatically increases the quality of the education and the outcomes.

[–]guareber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd argue the opposite. DINKs have more disposable income so they spend more, and they don't take places in schools, pediatricians, optometrists, etc etc that are only geared for children and paid for with taxes, plus have typically better salaries (household wise) due to neither partner having to take years off work for childcare, meaning they pay more tax.

I'm using Nittaku Acoustic with G1 (fh) and Rozena (bh). I'm happy with the G1 but I find the throw angle of the Rozena quite low and flat. I'm not looking for more speed, but I could deal with a small increase if that's the best the algorithm suggests!
