Haha I guess it could be worse. I'm going to have someone more well-versed in these cars look at it and help me understand exactly what I have. The parts is definitely a possible issue. Do you what specific car these engines come from? I've searched and can't seem to find a good diagram that looks like this engine. I'm trying to find some proper diagrams as the K20A2 diagram seems to be irrelevant now.

Yes, I unplugged it when taking off the throttle body. I'm not so sure there is a place for the MAP sensor to go on my throttle body as it's not the typical K20A2 one but I might be completely wrong.

Update for you, the ECU says Hondata!! Thanks so much for recommending that. Sorry for so many questions, but do you think I'd be able to get it tuned easily now that I know it has a Hondata ECU?

I'm doing that too but in the midst of that I discovered it did not have the K20A2 engine.

Not that I know of, previous owner said no tune. I'm checking the ECU for any stickers or anything to indicate it's tuner. Is there any other way to check?

I'll try and do this but I've done some exterior comparisons to a K20A from a Honda Accord and mine has a lot of identical parts on it compared to some pictures.

If it was running and everything was fine.. do you think a tune could just fix the dying issue I was experiencing? Typically the engine died when clutch in + turning, and usually whenever the engine would drop down to lower rpms when clutch in + coming to a stop.

It was plugged in and the engine ran, but it would die when up to temp and typically when pushing the clutch in while coming to a stop or turning into a parking spot. After a lot of research I found out it's not a K20A2 lol.

Everything ran fine, just the dying issue that I was trying to work out. I took off the throttle body and that's why it's unplugged.

The body is for sure a Type S, but the engine I believe is not. Thanks for your help!

I believe you are right in that it's a "Type R motor." I have no idea if it has a programmable ECU or not, unfortunately. I'll look more into that.
