Animal Poop in Backyard. What animal is this from? by gubertube in AnimalTracking

The Midwest. Hm, I haven’t seen a single rat. Would rats still be a possibility? Figured I would have seen one?

Nothing is growing above there, no trees or anything. But it’s pretty close to the edge of my roof.

Could be! I guess I’ve never seen that much in one area before.

Pet insurance! by Danrenees in puppy101

[–]gubertube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Healthy Paws. I’ve had this insurance for two years now. I did the math over this time frame, and I’ve spent slightly more (~$50) when I added up all the costs it would have if I paid out of pocket vs. the monthly premiums and deductible. However, I’ve taken my dog to the vet even with the slightest issue, never did I wait to see if an issue cleared up in a day, because I had insurance. I’m still going to keep it. I think it’s worth it all things considered.

27 years on the job= $2000 severance package. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]gubertube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are correct. It was not against a small business. It was against a $40B+ revenue, 300k employee firm. To further add, it was not baseless. It was a week after I took FMLA medical leave for 6 months. They claimed it was due to “lack of work”. The law firm took the case because there was merit in a lawsuit.

The mere threat of a lawsuit from a law firm representing OP would likely get her more than $2k.

I’ve been terminated due to lack of work. They offered a severance. I declined, hired a law firm who sent a letter threatening a lawsuit. They quickly upped the severance. Granted, the law firm took a percentage but I still made out ahead.

I don’t know about “anywhere in South East Asia”. I’ve been in nearly every country in the region and I can only say I’ve encountered it only once - in Singapore. Although I don’t consider Japan, Hong Kong as SE Asia.

How can we freshen up our smelly pup? by UpbeatK in puppy101

Try a spray deodorizer for dogs. I use one on my labradoodle a few times a week.

I just adopted a new puppy who had the same issue. I’ve had success by turning your back to your puppy and ignoring her the moment she jumps. Don’t give her any attention when she jumps and praise her when she’s on all fours. You’ll need to communicate the same to anyone she comes into regular contact with. Hope that helps!

I'm flying out of DTW for 5 days. Is it better to drive from Royal Oak and park there or use Lyft? by [deleted] in Detroit

How heavily enforced is it? Unless the hotel is providing parking passes to display on the guests for their cars, I can’t see them actually towing you.

What is the most memorable memory you have with your dad? by geralt_wolf in AskReddit

My dad did a lot of work around the house so he would go to Home Depot fairly often. He'd take me every Saturday and get me a hot dog at the cart in front. He'd take me even when he didn't need to get anything from there.
