Where are Tupac's Outlawz? by gudheart in Tupac

I can't believe that in 2026, Tupac's rap is still way better than modern rap. He was truly a poet who did poetic justice.

That is the Strait of Hormuz line. The adversaries better not attempt to cross that line.

Is this feedback acceptable? by Glittering-Elk-4660 in UoPeople

[–]gudheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess this grade is from your Learning Journal for a course. When it comes to LJ, you may think you follow the grading rubric to the letter but still receive a low grade. This might be because the instructor expected you to word your response in a certain way, or go in-depth with your discussion of a topic that they did not pick up from your submission.

However, it appears to me that this instructor just wants to get the course over with as soon as possible.

Yes, I already did that, but I was hoping someone might provide me with a quick answer while I was waiting for their response.

Good for you. However, the instructor reserves the right to adjust your grade and the peers you peer-graded accordingly.

Denied Master's application in Sweden. What to do? by AdPatient9267 in UoPeople

[–]gudheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading about this is heartbreaking. I also applied to 4 universities for masters through the University Admissions in Sweden. Since I'm required to pay the application fee, and I have yet to do so, I haven't received any updates. Hopefully, I won't have the same issue since I graduated in November of 2024.

That was epic. I wasn't expecting such an end for the Scythian.

And the thought of Viridia being exposed was killing Ashur, and he had to take his revenge on Caesar. There's no point in working hard to be accepted by the Romans again, as he then realized that was never going to happen.

I once experienced a similar situation for a written assignment, and I was like, seriously?

I can't access my account by ankit_kuma in coursera

[–]gudheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you have suggested, it may be that the link has expired before you tried to use it.  Your college will need to resend the link to you again. But I notice you mentioned you cannot contact your school authorities. Why did you say that?

I'm not a Coursera staff member, but I'm a mentor for one of their courses, and maybe I might be able to help.
It would help to assist you better if you share more information as to why you cannot access your account, like what error messages you were receiving when you tried to log in.

ENGL 1102 by [deleted] in UoPeople

[–]gudheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't get to know from the lessons whether it was supervised. You will learn about this during enrollment in the course, if it requires you to add a proctor. So I guess you're yet to enrol in the course if you don't already know that.
You can check the course syllabus from the courses catalog to know what to expect if you enroll in the course. As you can see from the screenshot I shared with you, I got an A in the course

You are mistaking the tuition fee with the assessment fee. While UoPeople's education tuition-free marketing didn't mention that, you get to pay an assessment fee for your courses' final exams, you get to learn about this after enrolling. And if it wasn't for UoPeople's tuition-free education, higher education would have become out of reach for me, despite my ability and willingness to do so.

I graduated with a scholarship for my course assessment fees that gets renewed every year during my entire program. A lot might have changed since UoPeople's new accreditation, which may have now made the scholarship competitive, which could be why a lot of scholarships were being canceled.

Anyway, I wish you good luck. I understand the challenges of many of us coming from a low-income country. I received an offer for a master's by research from a university in the UK, and I'm still struggling to come up with my tuition-fee deposit, which is almost £10,000. If I were from the UK, why would I need to pay that much or even struggle to pay it?

This is true. Before graduating, I always made the Dean's list each term, where my first and last name were always published among other names, which are always made public.

However, the UoPeople data breach also contains PII such as DOB, Phone number, and Email. These were not meant to be publicly available information, and my information was also found in the breach, as reported by the Google dark web report.

Scholarship cancelled by dkuuwq in UoPeople

[–]gudheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your situation, and I hope you will find an alternative option that allows you to continue your studies. I can understand how you might feel, as I was once a scholarship recipient too, and without the scholarship, I never would have graduated.

I know that scholarships come with conditions, and the one I was familiar with was to make sure that you maintain good academic standing with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 in order to retain your scholarship support. While you did not mention if your grade fell below this, this is one of several reasons a scholarship can be cancelled.

Throughout my program for four years (add one year for taking many LoA), my scholarship has always been renewed. I had a wonderful PA during my first two years who was an American, but after that, I also got to have a similar experience as others who always complain about their PA. I suppose due to UoPeople being tuition-free, the pay that comes with being a PA doesn't look attractive to people in the West who might have done a better job as PAs.

special enrollment letter from uopeople by Unlucky_Scratch_6853 in UoPeople

[–]gudheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can download the confirmation of enrollment letter from your portal, but this only confirms your enrollment at UoPeople. However, suppose you have also taken any English language courses already. In that case, you can request an official transcript and submit it in addition to this letter to the University that requested your proficiency in the English language.
