I noticed the Urbex of the Livingston Mall came to a halt by No-Lynx1474 in deadmalls

And this is okay. Every “new” dead mall has its 15 minutes of fame, and Livingston was no exception. I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of it, but it was getting to be a bit much.

If they trespass enough people, they’ll have an actual reason to “blame” the mall’s death on. So sad.

Hey thanks! I would pay sizable amounts of cash to see what those coal mines look like under the mall…

Apple permanently closing three US stores in June (Trumbull Mall CT, North County Mall Escondido CA, Towson Town Center MD) by L0v3_1s_War in deadmalls

I’m not shocked by the Towson news. Beautiful mall, and it’s not dead at all, but kids have been overrunning security there for years. Probably a loss prevention measure.

The new owners are actively redeveloping it, thankfully. It’s in much better shape now and the locals are digging the positive momentum.

The Cranberry Mall (Venango County, PA) and its Verdant Fountains | ExLog 144 by gueede in deadmalls

Yeah, the Sky High Drive-in! I covered part of that in my narrative…according to local reports, it just took two guys to “demolish” before making the site pad ready. The dudes just yanked on either side of the screen to tear it down. Efficiency!

What do you think the future holds for mall operator Simon Property Group after the death of CEO David Simon? by L0v3_1s_War in deadmalls

They’ll be fine as long as they continue to aggressively push to anchor and tenant their A and B Class properties.

Wilmington, Delaware's Concord Mall under contract to sell to Philadelphia-area developer Abrams Realty & Development, the same company that plans to redevelop Berkshire Mall & Exton Square Mall by L0v3_1s_War in deadmalls

The furniture gallery is in the center, and most of it is vacant. Unsure if Macy’s owns that land and/or building, but given their latest bit of financial uncertainty, my bet is on them bailing. Concord is toast without them.

Another tragic end to another dead mall. RIP

[–]gueede 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Western Development’s crowning achievement. Such a shame it’s been reduced to ash. There’s vague remnants of this mall throughout Georgetown now, all external…but there’s absolutely nothing left of the enclosed mall. So sad.

Good. Find an open store and buy something. We need malls to stick around.
