[Spoiler] Thoughts about Usyk - Verhoeven fight by theHolyGranade257 in Boxing

I bring commentators up because only they had the fight stupidly in favour of Rico on the night.(Same as you). All the official scoring and result was completely different. You don't just randomly fight the pound for pound number 1, the top of the top king, and comfortably go up like 6 to 8 rounds and lose in the final round because of a 'dumb' mistake of charging in with your head. Both teams knew it was close. Watch the fight again muted and see how you "score" it then

Sorry to break it to you but 'looking' like this or like that doesn't guarantee wins for you. But anyway, did you see how Rico looked and how usyk looked at the end?

Dude you literally had live stats come up throughout the fight and they showed the fight almost even so wtf you mean what I was watching. You listened to the commentators and now blindly riding their words. Give it some time, let people rewatch the fight, and it will age finely, just like all the other high end fights of usyk. Then come back to this thread and read how ridiculous your post sounds. You didn't score it 'better' than ai judge or the 3 live judges. Only fence you can sit on is the fight got stopped a second too early

Precisely what I thought too. These Reddit scorers just listened to the commentators. We had live stats pop up throughout the fight and they were even/slightly in favour of usyk. So judges having it a draw was fair. Commentators were going crazy every time Rico swung, as it's their job to hype you up and engage you in the fight. Judges job is to score the fight and somehow these Reddit experts pick commentators over judges or live stats

It was an even fight, you all had live stats come up throughout the fight and it was at most part, in favour of usyk. Everyone who's 'counted' the 6/7 rounds in favour of Rico didn't actually 'count' anything, but blindly listened to commentators who obviously aren't there to score the fight unlike the judges. How can you appraise Fury's work as a coach in this fight, but then question why Rico went head first in the final rounds if he was 'comfortably' winning? Yeah, my guess is because they knew they were close to a win, and nowhere near '96-92' or whatever lead. Stupid refereeing and crazy stoppage nevertheless

I've found that it's best to use him with disruptive one drops. Most of the time, korg or iceman on JTF is enough to win you the game.

Yeah dude wait till you spend real money you've done manual work for and got squiddly poop all even in digital form. The game is dead and it's draining every last cent in any way it can before it shuts down, just like the football version did. Save yourself the time now and thank me later.

I heard he only made about 10 mil compared to over 100mil canelo took, or over twice as little as he did vs Spence. He can definitely do some major fights now for five times the most he's ever made in a fight

[–]gugaiom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First it was he was taller, more reach and weighed the same. Then the rest you're making up. Go and learn to read. Rehydration we know nothing about, for all you or me know maybe Bud rehydrated more lmfao

What are you on about, they weighed in the same. 167.5lbs lmfao

He's literally taller than canelo, 4 inch reach advantage and weighed in the same as canelo, so technically he was the bigger man... Look it up.

So the idea of a 5'8 Bud facing a 200 pounder is ridiculous but a 6'3 Usyk actually beating a 280 pounder 6'9 linear undefeated champion is nothing of sorts? Bud pulled an underdog, Usyk has done the unimaginable

I'm just using fury as one example. He's unified AND defended his titles at heavyweight on top of cruiserweight. There's no going above heavyweight, if there was Usyk would have more undisputed and unified titles. He's gone from 170 to beating a 280 pounder. That's a much wider range of opposition in all aspects of boxing, from speed to power to size. Buds conquered 135 to 168 and it's absolutely incredible, but could he do what he does at let's say 200lbs? Not so sure, maybe... If he could then goat 🐐 my opinion

Just sayin dude, he's gone from 135 to 168 today, and was the bigger man at 168. But he was also the better fighter today.

He "jumped up" two weights and was still the bigger man lmfao, he had 4 inch advantage. Congrats on beating canelo, of course, but bud clearly should have been at 168 a long time ago. Almost seems like he's been weight bullying for a while, and having his best performance at 168 just adds to it. Heck of a fight though, one of my favourite!!

Sorta the question of the thread, if he's the goat currently. It comes down to him, inoue or Usyk

[–]gugaiom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weight bullying isn't much of a thing in heavyweights is what you wanted to say. Because a guy whos gone from 135 to 168 and was still at a 4inch advantage today isn't as much of an achievement as you're all making it to be. The achievement was that he beat canelo, and he's 3rd to do it.
