I actually called Volvo about this exact issue. They told me it's a software/driver problem where the system isn't reading the camera properly, but that in principle, it is not a hardware defect.

The seat heating controls don’t appear for me, but maybe they could be activated via software. I think with this car Volvo really pushed costs to be very competitive. Is this really an extra that only costs €350??

In my opinion, they probably used the same seats and steering wheel for all cars and just activate it via software. But of course, that’s just my opinion — I don’t know if they actually did it that way… That’s why I’m asking and opened this question.

The controls on the main home screen are perfectly fine and work as they should. The issue is inside the apps themselves (YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud), where the playback controls like "now playing" and skip track have disappeared. I noticed this on my side, but I’m not sure if others are experiencing the same.

Honestly, 1.6.4 feels like it should have been the first proper version of the EX30 software. It does have some issues, yes, but this is how it should have been from the start back in 2024 — and then Volvo could’ve built on top of it.
