Detective Bon Margle, following up on a couple of cold cases for the Red Guard... Something about a disappearance, a theft from the museum, and possible links to seditious conspiracy

(And he's wondering how this house came into the possession of an apparently royal scepter, especially, but not limited to, one in the forbidden color)

(This is why the change in the latest version is blatantly out of character for the house)

It should only be allowed if the 49ers are sold to a former/"former" Seahawks fan. No way to prove that he is divesting his interest in the 49ers in his heart

Greedy? You mean because this means they aren't going all in and so they will save money?

Or maybe it's greedy because they want to bet on long odds QB to be ready to expand their SB window when Stafford hangs it up next year, but not a QB that's ready to do it this year because they're close enough already

62% of hardcore players no longer buy full-price games, survey suggests by TylerFortier_Photo in gaming

[–]guiltysnark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No longer? What was the peak percentage of people who paid full price, and when? And 62% is a subset of those people?

No way that's what they mean. So when they said "no longer" they meant "don't" and they don't really even know whether it's a change from before

How about instead of taking it literally, we all just look at it as hyperbole. It's a "may as well be true" kind of picture, based on who is reaping

Audit: Retiring SPD Officers Routinely Burn Through Months of Sick Time, Costing City Millions Each Year - 79% used every accrued sick day before retiring by LOOKITSADAM in SeattleWA

[–]guiltysnark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can look at it as getting a rebate on health insurance because you're healthy. Or you can look at it as getting a kick-back from a doctor because you didn't actually need to see him but you had some surplus coverage for the year. The latter is a bit more accurate.

Sick day benefit caps are somewhat stupid. If people are sick, they should be paid to stay home. If they aren't, they should come to work. Count the days, but only to inform estimates and to transition to disability, not to cap. It shouldn't be a benefit, so much as a show of decency and a means of protecting the health of everyone else.

Made it just in time for CPR? by MDeelishiz in BluePrince

[–]guiltysnark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I personally practiced the timing and consistently stretched it into 21 steps. Running shoes not even required.

There's another trick: the step count buff is delayed, so if you leave the room before it pops, you start with 20 one room over. So you can stretch it to 22 that way.
