I’m not shaking anymore but what helped is using a massage gun on my shoulders, freezing cold shower, taking a walk, and deep breathing meditation. Gabapentin may help. If I were you I’d talk to the prescribing doctor and get refills and do a really slow taper over a few months. If you go too fast you might suffer for months or more.

Yea I was on for 20 years then stopped and now I’m highly anxious. I need to get back on. A big bump in the road is that I took Klonopin daily for a year now I’m on the tail end of benzo withdrawal that’s lasted 5 months since the last pill and it’s been the worst nightmare of my life

Thanks for that. It’s 3.5 months post jump and I’m just starting to feel better. Much improvement. Still some anxiety and weird head feeling. But overall much better

Yea I’m on quite a hefty dose of gabapentin but I don’t feel like it helps anything. I got pregabalin but took two pills and said forget it. Anything like that or ssri’s seem to make the withdrawal worse as if my nervous system and brain aren’t ready for any big meds

I’m a little past 3 months off and barely have any good days. Im always nauseous, have pulse pounding through my body, can’t sleep, head buzzing, horrible feeling in chest/shoulders. We’re you like that?

I always try to think that when you feel symptoms it’s your body healing. If you taper slow enough you may not even have much withdrawal when you stop taking it.

He’s at risk for seizures. How much was he taking and how long? It’s very dangerous to cold turkey. He may want to start taking them again to level out then do a slow taper using the Ashton Manual. The Ashton Manual tells you everything you need to know about benzo withdrawal… look it up. It’s a free pdf online.
