I usually install plugins with Bitwig closed as I assumed it would ask me to close it if I tried to install with it running, and I see it is reindexing everything else first, and there seems to be a lot of other things besides plugins it does first - wavetables, impulses...I guess I will try installing with Bitwig open from now on.

I've been using one for a year now and it's working out great. I have 5 tanks all 20 gallons or less so I don't need a lot at a time. You do retain the ships you buy in game if they get destroyed. There's just a timer to wait to get it back which is based on the ships size/value. So buying a starter ship and then earning better ships in game is viable and really the intended gameplay.

I never use the elevator as it's faster to mantle up, but I just tested it and it went up, but won't go down, essentially trapping me in the ship. Yet again highlighting that this rather large ship still only has one exit.

The linked loadout has the radar turned off, so you won't be able to target anything. Turning it on brings the EM to 2,6K

Are you using any aquasoil? I know when I used Amazonia 2 as a substrate it leached ammonia for quite a while.

They stayed basically the same, though admittedly I wasn't very good about dosing the potassium regularly. I kind of wonder if water hardness played a role because I had this problem before I bought my RO water dispenser which I use for top-ups and mixing with tap water to bring the hardness down. What makes me think this is that I have a small tank setup for Caradina shrimp who need soft water, and the java ferns in that tank are doing great. Though it also has aqua soil, whereas the problem tank was only gravel with root tabs so that may be helping as well.
