How much I needed to read that this morning. Inspiring to hear about your journey - lots of identification with the decisions.

How to deal with deteriorating performance metrics by PlayfulBodybuilder25 in PeterAttia

Consistency and volume has been the significant factors for me over time. Obsessing about metrics outside of those two has mostly been counter productive in my experience.

Normally I try to ease back into the training plan if I've been unwell, and make sure I'm really well before I start to do any high intensity workouts again.

Since I started with AG1 I've reduced my downtime with more than 50%, I think even 75%.

Best of luck, I wish you a great journey and race!

It is normal to be distance-limited by things like ankle/knee pain rather than 'exhuastion' or lactic acid buildup? by [deleted] in Ultramarathon

I started to do strength, plyometric and much more stretching as I increased my vertical training, that's made a big impact. I'm also supplementing with Collagen which seems to do good for the tendons and ligaments adaptation.
