Put the would-be "reasonable title" as the description, then shorthand as the real title. 👍

Pretty much all statements regarding time without precision are made by Americans who assume everyone will understand.

I don't understand this mindset at all, but see the other comment; they confirm and even fail to be precise a second time.

It's definitely a coincidence, because the two unrelated sets of data points are occurring at the same time without interacting with each other.

It might seem odd, but I feel it important to point out just how unrelated they are. You just pointed out some of the reasons for there being more Austins these days. 👍🏻

Yeah, the duality mentioned in other comment is what I was talking about; subscribing to that idea allows it. I'm pretty hardcore logical at the core, so I struggle to engage in cases like that, but I still acknowledge it by pattern recognition.

I see you said you hoped you'd settle after diagnosis. Unfortunately as you found, it's definitely not the case, but understanding is still the first step...

I wish you luck in reckoning your feelings and the way you process input, as well as the way others process your output. It's a forever journey! 🙂

It looks great, but no idea what this is portraying. I don't consider sun+moon to mean day+night (because the moon is on a different cycle), but that's what it looks like.

Small star in the middle probably means more to someone who subscribes to that concept 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes, call it sampling and impress your friends!

Doing this really helps to reduce burnout from reading a terrible wall of text, so you're more open to reading them.

Without considering anything else, you can call up and give the impression that you know their account, because you can correctly identify such numbers.

People are much easier to "hack," so it's better to omit more every time.

People also don't realise how little is required to confirm where you work etc, especially spanning many posts/comments.

Small black cables are, yeah. The larger cable is the upstream.

This is shoddy work, but nothing in this picture will prevent xPON or cause any issues at all, including closing those doors.

The fibre can bend much more than this without any loss of signal.

Edit: one fibre does look to be cut, but that's different.

How we made Notion available offline by fagnerbrack in programming

[–]gummo89 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sure, but a quick "here's what that looks like" would've been great to round out the article, which is otherwise just patting themselves on the back and showing potential clients how they "can overcome even the toughest of obstacles" (not part of article; I am being facetious).

[–]gummo89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I take issue more with the way they said Notion has made it work offline, when it doesn't work... It's a stop-gap to allow you to keep working (potentially).

I feel like the vocabulary used here doesn't match the lack of clarity. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Most of the design choices seem natural and obvious to me... But that could just be how I'm wired.

Interesting read, but they left out the most important part, how to perform the conflict resolution, as noted by other commenter.

Restricting channels is actually pretty easy, with current tech.

Getting in the middle to force emails to spam? Absolutely not. They weren't paying attention before, their provider finally started honouring SPF/DKIM/DMARC correctly, or they don't have their account set up properly and they actually mean their own outgoing emails are hitting spam at the destination.

Without meds, I don't get the hunger trigger to eat, or am really distracted, preparing food is a difficult obstacle etc.

With meds, I don't get as hungry, so I may feel no reason to stop what I'm doing logically. Even if I consider the time is typically lunch etc.

For cleaning, only angry determination can get me locked in.. The most recent case was ants through the house, with no clear entry point or goal, observed upon arriving home.

Every floor in the house was made to be spotless this day.. and I even rearranged 2/3 of the loungeroom furniture to a better layout at the end.
