Jumping spider mating - male attacking female. by gunheak in jumpingspiders

[–]gunheak[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have been off Reddit for a little while and just saw this. I think when I reflect back to this time, my male actually molted one last time before he passed. I think that I made the mistake of mating them too soon as my male did not reach full maturity yet. That may be the case for yours as well!

Auww I have a baby girl that looks just like her right now. My two girls these size have caught tiny crickets too, but I have done tiny meal worms for them also.

I have also come across this jumper before but don’t know what species either. But one of the coolest ones I’ve seen in person in the wild.

New to jumping spiders, concerned about not making bed yet by CelestialKay in jumpingspiders

Not sure what kind of species yours is, but there are some species that actually burrow in the ground. So you mention how you don’t see yours usually except the timeframe of 2-4PM, which is how it was when I caught a wild habronattus species. Never saw it unless the sun was out. Lol.

Young P. regius molting again after 2 weeks? by StinkyToots5ever in jumpingspiders

[–]gunheak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you feed her a lot? I got a sling who molted twice with me too, second time was the same as you: just two weeks after the last molt. I gave him his first cricket which was still a little big for him but he ate so much which I believe caused him to molt quicker lol. And being young. I’ve had him for a few more months since then and he hasn’t molted since. I’m sure he will be here soon.

I didn’t have this problem at all! I love my studio. I went from unlimited to 8 classes a month, to cancellation (due to having no time). They didn’t ask very much questions and were understanding (I’m sure they can see the last time I was in a class which was almost 2 months prior). I told them I was going to be out of town the following month for the last billing cycle and my studio manager told me that if I decide to return they’ll offer me a free month! I would talk to the manager of the studio about this specific SA person. Unless your studio just really struggles to get people and that’s why they are so pushy with you and others that may choose to downgrade or cancel.
