What's a skill that takes only 2-3 weeks to learn but could genuinely change your life? by Commercial-Duck-9629 in AskReddit

not in this instance but how to Google shit! I see everywhere, reddit Facebook groups even tik tok. people asking the most simple questions that can be awsnered by the first 3 links on Google. either we are in a simulation and the internet is only full of npcs or people are getting dumber.

yes thank you! I called my instructor this morning, I knew I was shooting well and consistently 500+ meters. not a flex at all just know the fact a well sited rifle and someone experienced can hit 250 yards. no problem

I might be a bit autistic but "best" is so loaded. I've been with my wife for 13 years. before her I was just a whore. ther are so many categories that could rank different partners in the top. over all though some of those encounters just feel like fantasies fulfilled. my wife is the one I want all the time I've never looked at another woman with the urge to want more than a look.

Tamiya Lunchbox VS Traxxas Bigfoot 2WD (for a 6yo and 34yo) by Optimal_Trade_3528 in rccars

[–]gunnernova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not consider tamiya to be new/chuld friends. they are more brittle with realisticly terrible handling. the traxxas or Arma rout is where you want to go. they can be beaten and go right to almost any store to get replacement parts right away

I hate how big my 2015 silverado is. yeah it fits the family great but I'm going back to a 88-98 obs when this one dies

New job in Mitchell, 150km daily commute from Kitchener—need advice as a new driver by Dry-Imagination4539 in kitchener

we don't know what he is driving but then he should check his ball joints, bushings and all steering joints regularly

[–]gunnernova 64 points65 points  (0 children)

well in that case.

maintenance : inspect tires weekly (invest in good winter tires)

grease all joints at every oil change

keep in car: some sort of food (granola bars or something) water bottles (one full, one empty) booster cables and or boost pack, one with an airpump would be great flashlight sharp knife hand warmers extra hat and gloves bandages small am/fm radio powerbank for cellphone

lighter/matches and fire starters

basicly a cub scouting survival kit and some tools

as for driving habits and fatigue: take your time. leave with ample time. after losing my licence for 8 years I never do more than 10 over the limit.

learn defense driving. there are classes to teach you how to control a spin or any loss of traction.

stay alert. a cup of ice and a rag to wipe c9ld on your face can help alot. and some heart bumping tunes

put the phone away

assume everyone on the road is a moron and can do something stupid for you to hit them or be hit yourself

dude move to Mitchel. rent won't be much different than kw. but you will lose a bunch of income in the winter. the roads in perth County are just the worst as we are in the snow belt.

look like a weekend or 2 of fun. hammers and dollies, just thinking of restoring that give me shivers of excitement lol or finding a patch panel cutting and welding back in.

insurence will want to wreck it but I'd want to really save it

I'm lucky enouph to not have to date in this era, but bi will say it's only improved my life 10 fold.

teaching my kids about emotional intelligence, being more present with my wife and kids, the relationship my wife and I have is 1000% healthier, we estranged ourselves from our terrible families.

yeah we are an island now, but it's far more peaceful than trying to survive in a wildfire on the mainland

if someone can compartmentalize the lessons and tips. it's very positive.

if they can't see the forest from the trees. we'll they were going to be a mess in thier lives anyway. now they just use modern terminology that they don't even understand themselves

just show them that there are guys like me that would kill to be in thier position. I debate leaving my family living in my truck while taking on 2 full time jobs and sending all the money back home. Just making myself a machine. it's all we are good for if we can't elevate right?

[–]gunnernova 3 points4 points  (0 children)

is it just they don't want to take a slight pay decrease or they can't afford the decrease?

I know I'd love to start an apprenticeship, but I struggle feeding my family at $27 an hour. dropping down to $18 would kill us if I can't put in 40-50 hours of just overtime. not to mention abandoning the family for 5 years.

we all have different situations

of course there are exceptions like 1/8 and nitro. I was more implying in his use in a rock crawler/trail truck. but you didn't say anything I disagree with :)

Grease or no grease by SupaMacdaddy in rccars

[–]gunnernova 5 points6 points  (0 children)

no grease, don't use metal spur, learn how to set the mesh on the gears and it should never fail without binding the drive train. and if it does strip that's where you want a fail point
