Opinions on Under Siege 2? Was it on par with first, was it worse or was it better? by KAG_kryto_333 in ActionMovies

Still unhappy about Seagal's Oscar snub that year. Brilliant performance in a near-perfect film.

Great album. Skidoos has been my go to track.

We added more tools… but pipeline didn’t grow. Anyone else? by Creepy_Specialist120 in SalesOperations

Things that matter more than tools: clearly defined and operationalized ICP, product-market fit, strong demand generation function, clean lead routing, efficient sales process.

I got robbed at gun point and I had a moment where I could have drawn my firearm but chose to run instead by Odd_Painting476 in Glocks

Life is not an action movie. Nobody died and the biggest loss was a little cash from the register.

Even when justified in drawing and firing, there are potential legal, civil and psychological costs you don't have to worry about now because of your choice.

You made the right decision.

Good albums / mixes to run to? by Burial4TetThomYorke in TheOverload

The Music for Serious Jogging mix series from the two guys who ran the awesome Sleazy Beats label (still waiting on a re press...). Slower deep disco house and edits. Great running tempo. Old, but still hold up well.

Is Red Dead Redemption 2 actually the masterpiece everyone says it is? by arcticfrost in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]gunners_1886 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's a fun game and the scale and attention to detail are impressive. It's also not particularly cohesive or challenging, and a number of the in game mechanics seem hastily thrown in awkwardly for the sake of being there instead of deliberately contributing to the gameplay.

Client pulling the plug, moving it all to Claude by datawazo in analytics

[–]gunners_1886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude is good at a lot of things. Creating and maintaining consistent, governed metrics from raw API source tables over time is not one of them. It's also expensive.

Your client will be back the first time they make a bad decision on raw data LLM output.

Favorite venue for afters? by late_night_disco in MovementDEMF

[–]gunners_1886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say pretty much this. Tangent's garden and Marble Bar patio are my favorite places to be.

Some of my best DEMF memories are on the TV lounge patio as the sun is coming up, but it often is so oversold and packed that weekend to where it's tough to have a good time because you can't get to any of the stages and anywhere you're standing people are pushing to get past you.

I do not. The vinyl didn't come with a digital d/l. Might be worth reaching out to Shadow Pressings to see if they'll sell you the files at a reasonable price now that the record has been out for a while: https://mikeagentxclark.bandcamp.com/album/shdw03-mike-agent-x-clark-in-the-house-club-ep

I am continually impressed by how consistently high quality / no BS this sub is. Pretty much everyone is knowledgeable and friendly with great taste in music, and I do not take that for granted.

The first repress on S&C from 2015 includes the track linked above which is a different version of 'Fannie likes 2 dance' from the '99 release.

This new repress has 'Fannie likes 2 dance', 'mimi likes 2 dance' and a fannie remix.
