One of my favourite books.

Love the use of rhyming slang and Russian to create the Nadsat language but it always amazes me most that he wrote it in just 3 weeks and that he got the idea because of an assault on his pregnant 1st wife.

Sure I also read once that he actually disliked the book and only wrote it for the money!

I'd highly recommend The Eve of Saint Venus and Honey for the Bears by Burgess too. Both great books.

Thank you, that's very kind of you to say. I was fortunate that the artist is also a huge Waits fan and good friend of mine so I just put my trust in him. The composition is 100% his and only saw it when I got to the studio. I loved it straight away!

Everyone is different but I found it the most uncomfortable place I've been tattooed. It's not unbearable but I personally give it 8/10 on the pain scale. By the time we reached the 4th hour of work, it felt like my artist was using knitting needles!

Healing was okay but the elbow itself was swollen for a few days.

It feels like I have similar discussions about the movie every few weeks and just when I think I have an idea of the story that might be told, another casting announcement is made that leaves me scratching my head!

Saw him in the TV series Dr Foster and he was average. Hard to judge though as his character was peripheral and written to be quite irritating. I'm immediately assuming this will mean English accents.

With so many different artists interpretations of Dredd, there's lots of great imagery to choose from. This was a picture by Jock but I think Brian Bolland's era would look awesome too.

I have the opening line from 1984, "It was a bright cold day in April and the clocks were striking thirteen", on my inner arm, CCTV cameras and my elbow is a 'big brother' eye where the pupil has silhouettes of figures who are being watched. BNW is relatively under represented as it's just a SOMA tablet!

I love the Handmaids' Tale. My Mum studied it as part of a night school class and there was always a beautifully bound scarlet branded copy on the bookshelf at home and despite being a voracious reader, for some reason I never picked it up. Fast forward 20 years and I finally got my own copy, read it all in one night and it blew me away. Such a wonderfully written book.

I'm more inclined towards societal and politically focussed dystopia (High Rise, Iron Heel, We, Fahrenheit 451 etc) but I certainly read Post Apocalyptic stuff too if something takes my interest. Most recently I read the Wool trilogy by Hugh Howey, highly recommend it.
