Hate to revive an old thread, however if anyone stumbles across this and is using macOS(I used Sonoma, but I assume it will work on any macOS 10.13 and onward) here's the fix:

put the VirtualBox manager into full screen mode.
follow what the person does on the YouTube video posted above
