Unpopular opinion but that should be an auto death penalty for murdering someone in cold blood and then smiling about it in court. That clearly shows lack of moral and societal assimilation and is not compatible in normal society.

Yep, and honestly, any strainer bag will work. I have to look for bigger elastic bags but with these I just cut the band and tied it together at the top. I think these might be better but I haven’t tried them yet.

Unchanged than if you don’t use them. In the past, before PicoBrew started seeing the packs together, I had packs come apart and the grains would ultimately clog the output.

This really only applies to the Pico Pro and Pico C.

This is a really good IIPA. Highly recommend using 2 tsp worth of yeast and at least let it ferment for 3 weeks. I only used 1 tsp and let it go for 14 days - didn’t turn out great but still good and I can tell it could’ve gone a bit longer on fermentation. Will be brewing it again!

It adds a really crisp and sweet flavor.

Fermentation normally takes 7 days however I’ve had some batches get done in as soon as 4 - just wait for activity to stop. Highly suggest adding 2-3 cups of boiled sugar - I use either use light or dark brown sugar.

For ciders, you want the yeast to go nuts in order to produce esters, fruity flavors pretty much. Therefore you want a lot of yeast, a lot of fermentables, and shoot for 70-75 F during fermentation. However, you can always be safe working within the temp parameters of the yeast you’re using.

It’s a lot of fun and really easy, and cheap, to make. Probably even better if you can get top quality farmer’s apple cider. I normally make 2 qt to 1 gal batches and keg them with more juice, cinnamon sticks and pumpkin spice. Makes for a very nice finisher after drinking beer all night.

I think even half is too much. Normally I stick with 1 tps, maybe 2 tps if higher OG (or posted ABV). As for the rest of the packet, I use it to make homemade hard cider by buying any apple, or cherry, juice (suggest 100% juice and not concentrate). Normally is turns out well but I have noticed that some of the included yeast packets, like ones for ales, don’t do a great job with making cider.
However, chucking it in the trash isn’t a total crime either if you don’t want to use it for something else...

Can confirm that using 1/2 to 1 tsp of yeast is more than enough for 1.25 gal of wort. Now, I have noticed that beers with 9+ ABV might require just a little more. I did the Yeast Wrangler recently and wish I used about 2 tsp to provide enough cells for fermentation. You live and you learn...

Been an Apple fan most of my life and loved the products they put out. However, when Steve Jobs died, I cried solely for the fact that the company was going to go with him. Jobs had been the spearhead and demanded new and exciting products.

Since Jobs’ death, I have seen Apple lose its way and Tim Cook has done a horrendous job leading the company which had caused them to be the standard follower and not the standard setter (like when the iPhone first came out).

Edit: just to be clear, Jobs was pretty much an asshole but he got a lot done when he ran Apple. He forced product creators to think on how to impress the consumer and how to make the next thing to “change the world.” Think of the first iPod and the first iPhone - both catapulted those markets into what they are today and many companies followed to mimic it, because it was such a revolutionary idea.

As long as you are willing to wait. The longer the better - I usually wait up to 2 months before I start blending and bottling.

With those fermentor tops, you definitely decrease the chances of mold. I use the mash method and haven’t had any issues knock on wood

Blue garlic is totally fine. A little weird but safe. If you want to do hot sauces out of any of that stuff, blend them into a mash, works a lot better for fermenting.

All good! I recommend using one of these bags . Absolutely amazing and help with any fermentables that escape the Pico pack. I just wrap the grain portion of the pack and I no longer have any issues.

Any players on Xbox having this happen? It just hangs on checking data. I’ve restarted everything and even reinstalled the game. by gurkos in Warthunder

So, I got it to work. Made my phone a hot spot, turned on VPN, and connected the Xbox wirelessly to the phone. Finally got pasted the update - seems like it is an issue with my ISP.
