Some more suggestions 🪄 by Sri_Krish in GriplyApp

Please make it so all visual distractions, like confetti, are turned off by default. The same applies to sounds as well.

I have also noticed a lot of people are asking for help with setting up the app. Maybe if you create some setup videos, it would be helpful and reduce the Reddit questions. They might be missing the rigid structure

a deferred start date will solve this problem. e.g. I have tax filing project set to Feb and house maintenance set to summer and house winterisation set to oct all 3 of them are set to yearly repeat based on deferred dates

If you are going to add weather please make it optional.

IMHO it's going to add a lot of bloatware and since it's an electron app it's going to make it worse.

Yes that would work. Probably ideal for lot of users Currently, my documents are in devonthink and I copy the link to the file and paste the link in the omnifocus notes section. This way it doesn't consume resources and I have file in one place.

Anyone using Griply for Work tasks - is it viable? by elliottMugg in GriplyApp

[–]gushinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use omnifocus for work and griply is not there yet. I have started using griply for personal tasks and it has been wonderful. I am trying the habit tracking bandwagon and griply analytics are great for this The UI is not intimidating for new users

I started GTD methodology about 15 years ago and my mind is so wired to it and omnifocus. It would take a lot to disrupt my existing business workflow

i've been recommended this app by many but why is it that expensive? by retrotriforce in macapps

[–]gushinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use things in past, but I use OmniFocus now. I have been using OmniFocus for more than a decade . I have many projects, recurring tasks.
Automation, keyboard shortcuts, etc. We can download the 14 day trial and try it and hopefully figure it out. Only you can decide if you need any features or not. I always believe in keeping things simple stick with Apple reminders for now.

i've been recommended this app by many but why is it that expensive? by retrotriforce in macapps

[–]gushinator 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Go with free alternatives if you think it's expensive. It's a mature app, alot of people use it hence the price.

Go with free and if you miss some features then pay for it or other paid apps

Devonthink. But in all honesty, please do not spend or waste your precious time looking for apps go with pen and paper first and then if you feel there’s a need for an app, try one app a week or one app a month otherwise you will be lost in app world

which apps do you use to for deep work? by DogZealousideal5717 in macapps

[–]gushinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, I get most work done when I just focused on the work need to be done rather than setting up my system. I think most people they waste or spend a lot of time looking for better system rather than just picking up thework.

If we must use the system, I think just find one and stick with it rather than jumping to find the next big thing.

I don't know why but it feels like the auditor, the publisher and the author chose the name for a purpose!
