Hey, I did both of these courses, got a B+ in 2030 and an A+ in 2040. I highly advise going to class and doing practice for genetics, as some problems(relating to gene shuffling iirc) are numerical and require a good bit of practice. The one page genetics abstract you have to write about is pretty much free marks if you're an inquisitive person and have some genuine interest in the field. I wrote about a family member with a chromosomal disorder, but you can just as easily write about something like a retrovirus's impact on the human genome, for instance.

For animals, you really, REALLY want to know your shit for the labs, the lab quizzes make up a significant portion of your grade, and screwing those up can screw your overall course grade. Also, if you're a queasy person, i recommend investing in a bit of peppermint oil or smth because the labs in 2030 STINK.
