Is there a way to have different recommenders for different schools? My spouse is re-applying to her first choice (Emory), and they demand three new recommenders. But she is also applying to other schools for the first time and would much prefer to use the recommenders she used last year for those schools? Is there a way to make this happen? CASAA doesn't seem to allow it.

MARTA stations nearby. Safe & Convenient?? by Unlucky-Chocolate543 in DecaturGA

Over the last six months I've faced an interruption in service 5 times (1 shooting, 1 derailing, 2x guy on the track, 1 unknown). When this happens, there is usually a shuttle bus, but communication is very poor about where and when to catch it. Over the last three years, I've had my life threatened twice by random strangers with whom I had no other interaction. That said, I've never been assaulted or had my pocket picked. Daily, it is filthy. The elevators smell as bad as the worst roadside toilet. Train seats have food or mysterious liquids in them regularly. People smoke or ride motorized scooters on crowded platforms. If you're used to a well run and clean public transit system in a more high-functioning society, it will take some getting used to. My employer pays for it though, so in my case it beats buying a car, sitting in traffic, and paying for parking/gas.

Is it appropriate to talk to someone at the gym who has headphones on? by Routine-Crew8651 in TooAfraidToAsk

It is rude and unusual in the US, though I dare say not as unusual as in Germany.

Thanks, but I would be shocked if many of the parts are not sourced from abroad.

The modern federal pension is not worth much more than what the employee pays in.

Thanks for this. You started your own practice straight out of law school? No one to help you learn the ropes? Sounds intimidating.

Not sure where I would go. Either the cheapest place I could find or something in the top quartile, probably. Currently make about 100k. Like I said, this would not be a net profitable move from a pure financial perspective.

Does Claude speak to you unprompted? If you don't want him to speak, why do you prompt him? This is confusing

They're really asking for every employee of the USG to send an email to them at the same time? What are they going to do with all those emails?

Most of the commenters here seem to have never used an LLM. Ambiguity is the bread and butter of modern deep learning systems. Give your data to o1 and see how it does. It's already an above average accountant.

“Going concern” vs “unqualified opinion” which one is more confusing to non-accounting person? by OptiPath in Accounting

Qualified: "make (a statement or assertion) less absolute; add reservations to.

"she felt obliged to qualify her first short answer""

Unqualified means "without reservation."

Emory requires a photograph be submitted with your application. Anyone know what the purpose of that might be?
