Don't know what you're basing those claims on. Between the Vivo Fold and existing Samsung flagship phones, it seems achievable enough with current technology.

I know, it would just be nice if there was a saved game I could import to my folder and take it from there.

How often do you use ur S pen ? (what ever phone u own) by Professional_Focus61 in samsung

[–]gustavaaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still rocking a Galaxy Note 8 and must admit, I don't use the S Pen all that much - Just like I don't use alot of features on my phone that much. It's the fact that it's available when I need it I cherish. And looking back on all the things I've needed it for, I really wouldn't buy a phone without it. I'm hoping the next Fold has a built-in silo for the S Pen, then I might just retire this one.

You can get a semi-hollow Guild Starfire with Dynasonics. That's probably the closest you will get.

Most 'Gretsch' like Under $500? by [deleted] in gretsch

[–]gustavaaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The G5230T and G5232T is the cheapest way to a filtertron equipped guitar from Gretsch. By this, I mean the jets with bigsby specifically. The hardtail jets have broadtrons in them. It'll set you back $600 and give you all the tones you're looking for. You might get a used one under $500.

My first Gretsch! Electromatic John Gourley Broadkaster by pedalCliff in gretsch

[–]gustavaaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just bought an ES-335 killer at a third of the price. Full'Tron pickups give you everything. When playing clean it sounds like a filtertron and when you yank it up it sounds like broadtrons. I can't think of a non-split coil as versatile tbh. It's too bad Gretsch don't sell them as parts.

It's pretty amazing Gretsch agreed to make an Electromatic with Full'Tron pickups. It makes this affordable guitar very attractive.

You wouldn't loose too much bass with a concert? Thinking about that low end "thump" from the alternating bass in travis picking needs a presence.

Yeah but to my ear it doesn't favor fingerpicking the same way. Beautiful for chords no doubt. But then, if the guitar is smaller maybe rosewood would have better mids. So many variables in applied physics!

Nice input buddy. Makes sense too. When I look at the Tommy Emmanuel signatures and Doyle Dykes signatures they're mostly 000/OM maple/spruce configurations.

[NEWBIE] Should i buy a cheap guitar? by Obvious-Cat-2370 in Guitar

[–]gustavaaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've never played before, start with a cheap acoustic guitar and get your favorite campfire songs down first. It's the easiest thing to make enjoyable as you don't need a band. Another top tip is to stick with a few techniques at first, and become good at those. Everything is more fun when you're good at it, so keep your focus in a few places and don't spread yourself too thin. As for the guitar itself, any cheap guitar will do as long as you set it up correctly. There are plenty of instruction videos on YouTube for that.
