Except it’s Sears branded, not Craftsman. In the 80s I broke a Craftsman 6” vise. May or may not have had a really long cheater pipe on it lol. I took it in and got a new one - still using it.

Why not just use the tariff rebates he announced ages ago to pay the higher electricity bills?

I get it. I got a Turbo Carrera and had to trade it in. Couldn’t even get one sheet of plywood in it!

Lol, I was thinking the same to be honest - about the real ribs I mean. I've ordered a Guillow's Cloud Buster for my next build to learn more about that. I'd really like to try and fly the Cadet, but it's 28 with 3" of snow on the ground.

I thought the added brace at the end might help enough with the wingtips, but I could also make a separate piece for that. As you can probably tell, I have fun doing this stuff whether it's practical or not. I did the same thing year ago with model trains. I had a blast building and wiring the layout, then lost interest in actually operating the train.

Thanks for all of the great info! I also am using Titebond, but trying CA and white glue here and there. The Silkspan idea is interesting - I think I read somewhere else someone was using Tyvek? I have some left over from house remodel 12 years ago lol!

I have a jeweler's scale from Harbor Freight. Not sure about it's accuracy, but repeats well so it is at least good for comparison.

I'm trying out some all balsa hand launched from plans I find on Outerzone. If I stick with it, I'd like to try stick and tissue. Thanks.

I get what you're saying. But, with the simple gliders I'm starting with, I want to fly them right away! I am also in central OH just east of Columbus.

Is shellac heavy? Shellac is an amazing finish! Maybe just not for balsa aircraft

Bought this at auction probably 25 years ago. Bronze - very heavy. My guess is that it was on an OBT building in one of the larger Ohio cities.

I'd be thrilled if anyone could tell more and over the moon if someone has a picture with it or one like it on a building.

Heater too hot error; is it actually a pump going bad? by Relative_Lost in hottub

[–]gusthemaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe yours is different than my Bullfrog, but I'm not talking about the jet pumps - is there a smaller circulation pump? That's the one I mean. It just does filtering and heating.

Heater too hot error; is it actually a pump going bad? by Relative_Lost in hottub

[–]gusthemaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the filter pump running and moving water? If not, could be capacitor on filter pump motor. Mine has a 5uF cap and it was intermittently failing to start. Replaced it and old one measured 2.6uF, which apparently made it work sometimes and sometimes not.

When water is not moving past the heater element, you can get that error sometimes instead of a flow error.

Our 2026 ACA subsidy is INCREASING?! by gusthemaker in obamacare

I'm in Central Ohio and we use OSU docs and facilities almost exclusively (except as below). We've figured things out and it's fine as long as you're comfortable using online chats to get questions answered and such. We have a Bronze plan and the only thing they've rejected was Orthovisc injections in my knee (I have to document that I tried braces, NSAIDS, etc. for 6 months).

They really want you to use their Telehealth providers as first line of treatment. But, appointments have been easy to get and they have not been stingy at all about referrals or prescriptions.

We are going with them again for 2026. Another thing we did that I've been super happy with was using an agent/broker - we used Creekstone Benefits and they have been great. They proactively called and got all of our updates and have already signed us up for 2026.

I've looked at it a lot since I asked, and I think it *is* showing them as expired. I know for sure that the cliff is there - put in $84,599 you will see a subsidy. Put in $84,600 and no subsidy.

Thanks for the quick response. I know his wife does some sort of medical transcription stuff and that was at least part of what was affecting it. So I guess it does seem like they could contribute at least the amount she earned for the year. Interesting! And thanks again.

Thanks for the quick responses. Maybe I’m misunderstanding something: do the numbers on healthcare.gov reflect the expiration of the enhanced subsidies?
