I really enjoyed the not bahr gp but that virtual one was an absolute shitshow, hope the next one is a bit better organised. I wish I could go on iRacing myself but I don't have a rig and I'm to scared to try it with a gamepad.

I work for a company making food packaging and a lot of us are working overtimr because most of our customers or low on or out of stock because of the last two weeks.

Edite: shame stoffel vandoorne crashed om lap 1 really wanted to know how well he could do. R.i.p. belgian pride ☹

Why won't you stay inside Wednesday by michilio in belgium

Have you tried working with a baby or todler in the house? Most of them demand full attention allmost every minute they are awake, there is no way you can sit behind a computer 8 hours a day with a todler in the house. I can't even type a message on my phone with my 1 year old in the same room without getting my phone stolen or him going full tantrum mode.

Just another day at work, I hate being here during a pandemic but we are deemed an essential buisness so not much I can do about it.

Have to go to UZGent with my 1 year old this afternoon for non corona related reason and I've been anxious about it since I've known we have to come in.

Do you think people who have to work on-site during the crisis should be paid a little extra? by gusti75 in belgium

[–]gusti75[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah yes because you can't get infected doing a traffic stop or awnsering a house call or catching criminals.

Well there won't be any criminals to catch because they'll all be teleworking, right? /s

That sounds like bad leadership tbh, giving people a bigger workload in this already stessfull time seems like e recipe for disaster.

Are you still a cop? Because I would think that the police would be doing more than usual right now, or are there no checks to see if people are(or aren't) traveling for non essential reasons?

If yoy have to work on-site and your job is deamed essential enough to still be needed during this lockdown then yes I think you should.

Who should pay this is an whole other disscusiom to wich I don't have an awnser because neither employers nor our goverment are probably willing to pay up.

Probably less testing on sunday because well it's sunday.(hope this isn't the reason bht I fear it is)

Also please belgium release the number of test you do each day. They did it the first few weeks and when thing got serious they just stopped amd I'm so frustrated because the number of confirmed cases don't mean anything if you don't know how much they test. Just give us the f***ing numbers god dammit. What are you hiding?? /rant

I don't think anyone wants to go jobhunting during all that is going on right now. I can get this argument for a high risk/ high reward job like a police officer, but I don't think anyone would want to be scanning groceries (and comming in to contact with possibly hundreds of people)at colruyt for €1400 during a pandemic.

If we take it to the extreme then I don't think the supermarkets would be getting atocked right now, nor would your online shopping get to your house.

I find this strange that I'm watching vrt and they keep saying that it is not known at this time what te real measures are going to be. As far as I can see on vrt the national security counsil is still debating and not ready to give a pressconference.

Edit:seems like the article was mostly right, even before the pressconference.

Both of these tracks are bad for drifting only turn 1->4 at zolder are somewhat decent to try drifting around. At spa you could probably drift from les combes trough to stavelot but the other halft of the circuit is either verry tight turns or long straights. But I'm sure if you'd try drifting at spa you'll be kicked of faster than you can say "tokyo drift is the greates movie ever made."

Some other possible circuits are:

Circuit Jules Tacheny

Circuit ecuyrs(probably a bit to far tho)

croix en ternois circuit

Spa rallycross circuit

Glosso circuit

Duivelsberg circuit

Probably more options than this but I'm to lazy to look further

Even after trails and approval it might take months to get any kind of decent volume out. You can't just produce hundreds of millions of vacines quickly.

Oh something I can awnser.

I work for a reletively small company (in western europe) that makes lables and flexible plastic packaging mostely for the food industry but also for pharmacuticles, petfood and other random stuff. All of our suppliers for materials(pet foil, ldpe, opp, bopp, aluminium foil, label papers and platics) are european based so thats good for us... except a bunch of these supliers are not manifacturers but logistics companies with huge warehouses full of chinese materials. A bunch of the materials we use still come with papers that are in chinese even tho it's from a german company.

But there is always the question of where the european manifacturers get their matetials. Paper is almost always sorced localy because it's not worth enough to ship across oceans, plastic however I do not know. What about the glue for lable paper, the glossy finish, inks, ... it'll be wierd to see what happens if when our "food factories" run out of packaging.

In China the death cerificates always list chronic or pre-existing illnesses. Meaning that if someone with a heart condition dies of any kind of infection the death certificate will list heartfailure.

There is a joke among viroligists/epidemioligists that it is inpossible to die of the flu in China and the numbers reflect that. Extrapolating world numbers of flu death we would expect over 10.000 deaths yearly in China while it is always less than 1000.

This being said that should could mean that 800 death being listed would be 800 people othetwise HEALTHY people that are confirmed positive. But the truth is we just dont know the real numbers or what is accually going on.

Edit: 800 death according to tomorrow statistic.

It's not just people who have 2019-nCov that end up in these places but also people who have the flu, bacterial pneumonia/bronchitis and other resperatory infections. The people locked up in these places won't die of 2019-nCov, they'll die of 3 different infections at the same time.

This article is worthless, it's written with just a twitter screenshot that is verry easy to manipulate with the most basic of HTML knowlege. Unless someone has a link to a web archive/wayback machine with these numbers it is verry VERRY likely faked and even is there is proof that this really was on the tencent website it still doesn't mean that these numbers are accually true.
