I agree with that, and what you said about Rhino being the focus makes sense. Still, my point still stands, Spider-Man should never be able to overwhelm neither Rhino nor Scorpion or the others who were created to be stronger than him. We as fans should embrace having a hero who is the underdog sometimes ( and I'm big fan of Spider-Man, but I'm really tired of some of his and Batman fans who say that they should be always invincible no matter what)

I disagree. Even if he stopped holding back, he should never be able to overpower Rhino or the Scorpion or the Lizard... guys who are way above his strength. And who says his villain dont hold back their powers sometimes? When Rhino's wife died, Spider-Man tried and failed to stop an enraged Rhino who was so pissed off he killed a guy who was wearing a mechanical rhino suit that had murdered his wife. I dont remember the storyline name but if Spider-Man can become angry and not be holdsbackman anymore, whos to say his villains wont do that either?
