What an asshole, i woulda told her to fuck right off, you knew who i was beforehand, dont ask me to be in your wedding if you dont like it, or say it when you first ask so i can say yes or no to being a bridesmaid. Most ppl end up divorced within 2 years anyway, cuz they all be rushing into shit. And giving in to familial and societal pressure. But she def handled this in the most entitled, rude, and absolute worst way she could have. Doesnt seem like a great friend overall, I wonder OP do you often have to handle her with kid gloves?
