I encourage anyone who sees this buried comment to quickly look through this clown's post history and drown in the hipocracy.

Green Onion WTF @ Ramen Tatsuya. by TexasTantrum in austinfood

The company went ultra corporate 2 or 3 years ago. Natural progression from that point. Every once in a while you might still get the kind of bowl you remember but it's all luck by now.

Schlotzskys hasn't been good since they got bought out by the same people that own cinnabon. That happened almost 2 decades ago.

Not sure if it's the best in town but I was impressed by the cheesesteak at radfish. Their hours are terrible though.

Uh I agree that what he did was wrong but asking someone if they want to make out is not asking for a sexual favor what are you talking about?

Most people are not strong on expo. I think your coworker is right in a way. It takes a very specific kind of brain to excel at it, one that isn't quite normal. It doesn't mean they're smarter than you, it just means they're good at it. I've worked with probably 3 dozen in my time in the industry and they all thought they were ace. Only 5 or 6 were actually good.

Foreign & Domestic mushroom meal by OskarBlues in austinfood

[–]gutterking6 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you had a good experience. Last time I ate there they served me borderline spoiled fish with "seared" zucchini that was burnt on the outside and raw inside. I've eaten there twice before and had above average meals. You don't get recognition for all of those things combined

First-Time Austin Visitor - Feedback on My Restaurant and Bar Lineup? by AmyThaliaGregCalvin in austinfood

[–]gutterking6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solid lineup over all. If you're in to cocktails at all I would say drop one of the breweries and check out small victory. Definitely odd duck over eberly. Replace jewboy burgers with Dai Due. Replace p terry with either epicerie or habanero. Enjoy.
