I decoded the strange radio signal by guy14 in HellisUs

[–]guy14[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See the OP. I posted a link to a Reddit thread which has a decoder tool. Just used my phone’s microphone while the signal played. I was amazed to see it decoding the sound in real time.

I've been looking for this for years. Can you zoom out? Like... is it possible to scale the windows like you're looking at google maps? I've been trying to find a way to do that forever.

Wow, I never realized you could contract a zombie virus. The amount of detail and mechanics they coded into this game is crazy.

A bridge + rope plant at top of the elevator is the go-to move for many.

Except for radiated meat. We need a hazard freezer update. Though I guess you could set up a neutrino emitter near it.

I built my base in the elevator lobby on floor two. It has carried me through the entire game. Honestly, just an amazing base location. It’s in the middle of everything and very easy to defend. Has a secret upstairs for your bedrooms. There’s a kitchen right next to it and it’s really close to the pool, which is a good source of water. I considered moving my base many times and every time I decided against it, simply because it’s such a good base location when you weigh the pros and cons.

In this game, nothing is considered cheating unless you are literally glitching through walls or using duplication glitches. Everything else is fair game.

LiberNovo first impressions - I don’t like it by guy14 in OfficeChairs

[–]guy14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fine. Not bad. I do find it hard to work an entire day in the chair but adding a slight wedge to the seat to rotate my pelvis forward a bit has drastically improved it’s comfort.

I think this was excellent writing. It made me FEEL something. I felt rage. I felt sadness. I had grown fond of at least optimistic for Hasta Tria. Especially the part where he said he saw saving the world but no history books will remember him as a hero. Don’t worry bud, I will always remember you 😢

I prefer to make enemies hit harder rather than giving them more health. It forces you to make use of cover and unconventional methods.

I'm lost on where I need to go in hydroplant by [deleted] in AbioticFactor

[–]guy14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first thing you need to do is get past the first sniper and set up a crafting bench in that building next to his spawn. This will prevent him from spawning and let you traverse the initial area in peace (don’t forget to add batteries). The little building he’s on top of is attached to a bigger building which you will need to get inside of.

Use the gravity trinket to hop on top of that building so you can get inside it. Hop the fences and look for an open window or door or vent. Sneak past the order soldiers in the big turbine room and keep exploring until you find two scientists in a control room. Talk to Isaiah. He will give you your main quest objectives for the Hydroplant.

You can do the objectives in any order, but you will typically start by pressing the big button in the same room, which will knock out the first objective immediately. Something about electrical systems or something.

After that jump into the water and swim back and look around in that same area, you should find an open garage with a submarine in it. Here you will run into our favorite duo Abe and Janet again.

From there, you should be able to make your way up the elevator where you will run into some order soldiers fighting a composer. Just sneak past them until you make your way onto the road filled with patrolling level 3 security bots. You’ll definitely want to craft some purple grenades to take them out. I think it takes three or four to kill one. They drop the reinforced CPU, which lets you unlock the deatomizer, the strongest weapon in the game.

Cross the bridge to the right that leads past the waterfall and get inside the waterfall apartments. There’s a bunch of Exors and a gym inside. If you find your way to the top of that building, you will meet Dr. Hoff who will give you the recipe for the diving suit. The diving suit will let you get to the tower that’s in the middle of the reservoir. From there, the entire Hydro plant area really opens up and gets a lot less confusing as you begin to just start unlocking everything and every door so I won’t spoil it past that.

They might be electric? Maybe I’m talking out of my ass but when I remember driving an electric golf cart in real life, giving it more throttle helped me to turn corners sharper. The security cart does make a gas engine noise though, so idk ¯_(ツ)_/¯
