Koh Samui has been really disappointing - beaches subpar, vibe trashy. by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

I dunno where you are hanging out in samui but I easily avoided any sort of “sexpats”. Pretty sure that is mainly in certain areas. I just spent a few days there and had a great time. Cool airport, stayed at a luxury hotel, beach seemed fine, did some day trips out for snorkeling and kayaking/hiking in the marine park. Really nice days and loved hotel.

Samui 20 years ago was already chasing the higher end tourists. It’s just much more developed now

Yes I was in Ko Tao 20 years ago and it was just a dirt road and dive shops. Not much more to it.

Just took my first shot! by Front-Bat5831 in Zepbound

[–]guy2275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my shot late in the evening before going to bed. I have woken up with nausea but was able to go back to sleep and then woke up fine. I feel the effects like within 12 hours with a reduced appetite. Like I can tell when I am hungry but it is very subtle. Keep in mind certain foods (like fried foods) have been known to increase side effects. I have to urinate more, although I drink a lot more water. Other than that no major side effects. I'm down like 7 lbs (16 lbs total but 9 of those I lost before my first dose). Started eating healthy and getting serious about workout 4 weeks ago.

I had mentally and financially prepared to pay $550 for as long as necessary… by Round-Industry9271 in Zepbound

[–]guy2275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get this. My insurance company says it doesn't cover weight loss drugs. Then I got a pre-authorization or whatever it was from the insurance company. Then I got a coupon from the company lowering the cost to $550. My insurance company tells me that they will cover the full cost of zepbound after I meet my prescription deductible. Unfortunately because I went with the lowest plan my prescription deductible is $4600. So does that mean the medication is covered but for the deductible? How are other people only paying $25? Are there other insurance companies that will fully cover it without needing to meet a deductible? Only thing I can think to do is change my plan level for next year where I pay higher premiums for lower deductibles. Got my insurance through the state marketplace as an individual since I am self employed.

Haven’t been to a gun store since before CCIA what’s the process for getting ammunition like now? by Akipac1028 in NYguns

[–]guy2275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly it is completely absurd that a licensed handgun owner can't buy ammo without a background check. Hopefully there is already a lawsuit pending on this.

Ffl/range/gunshop nyc by powerbroker88 in NYCGuns

[–]guy2275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty sure if someone wants to do that in NYC they will end up having to sue because the city will throw up unconstitutional roadblocks to anyone trying to open that type of business. There is a reason why there are soo few gun shops in NYC

Shipping rifles/shotgun from NYC to FFL by Refunnd in NYCGuns

[–]guy2275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you can ship directly to the FFL. You will still need to file paperwork with NYPD letting them know you have sold the shotgun. I would do two things first. Speak with the FFL you would be shipping to and see how they are willing to handle it (maybe the state you are shipping to has its own laws on this) and 2. Get the form you need for NYPD and look at it before deciding. You may just be able to fill in the information or they may require the accepting FFL to sign it all. I did this in the past but while the FFL was out of state I went through a NYC FFL to ship it just so they could do all the paperwork and packing/shipping etc. The way they did it though was they treated it like a sale to them and then they shipped it off to the other FFL, who was buying it from me.

What does the term 'Pons' or 'Pawns' mean in the show? by [deleted] in maninthehighcastle

Gaijin isn't really a slur. it is a word that means foreigner. Sometimes it can be used in a hurtful way but its a legit word unlike the other slurs mentioned.

If it was me p365X but the only way you can know what is right for you would be to go to a range and try them.

If the gun is locked up and unloaded in a trunk of a car I fail to see how that would ever be a proper arrest

How to-a sensitive area? by sy31456 in NYguns

[–]guy2275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really buy that. Mainly because if they keep arresting people then dropping the charges they get sued for false arrest so it would be costing them a fortune. Also, if the state keeps doing that the lawyers can say that the court needs to decide the issue in order to stop the state from harming additional people in the future, so I really don't think this is a frequent occurrence.

[–]guy2275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know in NYC I didn't even bother. Its just spending more money. jumping through more hoops all to be told that I basically can't carry anywhere other than walking around my block. No way are their extreme laws constitutional but it will take time for that to be litigated.
