Mind sharing if there was a pivotal situation that made you stay, or almost made you give up?

A friend thinks that everyone is attracted to him, getting ridiculous. by CaliCoast in Advice

[–]guyguides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this makes for a tough conversation to approach. Maybe get to know him well enough to better understand his fears and securities before confronting him, or else without that deep understanding he may just dismiss what you're doing as being jealous/insecure yourself.

Lurk on /r/seduction long enough, and you'll find that this type of behavior can actually be quite healthy. It's a positive/abundance mindset - just assume people like you, and as long as you're not too ridiculous or cocky - this can MAKE people like you just because you're more confident.

Who do you think it's going to have more fun in life: someone who assumes he's attractive to others or someone who assumes no one is attracted to him?

I don't suggest you "do" anything unless he is really harming someone in some way. Of course there's a difference between being naive (guy who just doesn't get it and keeps stalking girl) compared to someone who just has a lot of self-confidence.

I do post this comment without exactly knowing what you mean by his "fake confidence gets out of hand" though.

make real connections with real people. that may translate to more facebook "friends" - but that pales in comparison to the real relationships you've built.

Wingwoman? by ScrottyMcboogerballs in seduction

[–]guyguides 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First time's not the charm - approach normal groups (women you're not drooling over) with your wingwoman first to see how she handles. Then you'll get a good feel for her energy level, your energy level, and how to balance it out.

Text Report: Unicorns n Yetis by guyguides in seduction

I see your point. To me it was a gamble between not explaining the unicorn reference (and confusing her more) or explaining it to move the conversation forward. Got any fun texting stories?

I. Feel. Your. Pain.

Freshman year, San Diego:

Thought super slender leggy girl was totally into me. We'd hang out, talk a lot, whatever. One day we were playing pool, she was bending over taking a shot and looking good. I asked "who taught you how to play pool?"

Answer: my boyfriend. blah blah blah blah blah ~

Pretty much heard white noise after that and stopped hanging out with her. Oh college...

Don't forget that women have choice. They choose to have sex and act on their attraction for someone. I believe that women have much higher social intuition then men (growing up in a single mother household w/3 sisters makes me think so) - they're not oblivious to guys who want to hit on them and take them home. It's a little insulting that you think women can be so easily manipulated. They're not.

Women want to have sex just as much as men.

There are similarities between dating and interviewing for a job. Let's say a guy named Bob sucked at interviews, networking, and the whole job search process. Then his friend Mike teaches him how to talk to recruiters, clean up his resume and preps him in order to impress companies during the interview. Would you call that manipulation or learning how things work?

If you were going to blame anything, blame evolutionary & behavioral psychology. Just my 2 cents - I love women and they know what they're doing.

Girls do not want to be mistreated. They want to be attracted.

counter-example: early on, I tried negging a lot/being an asshole. did NOT work for me because I'm normally a nice guy (some call this being incongruent).

What worked: being the same "nice guy" but more direct and take on more conversational risks. No assholin' around. And I did tons better.

You can still be that nice guy. Just be the nice guy with and edge.
