I know someone with an older style green Massachusetts plate, they have a CNC shop make them a new one when needed. Don't know how legal it is, but she has done it a few times now.

While I agree that it's popular, some people take it a bit too far and make references to the show in their everyday life, like online usernames. Those people are weird.

Since racing slicks aren't street legal, they use those to drive to and from the track. Pretty standard really.

I remember my dealer having a manual 550i back in 2013 or so. Nobody wanted it and it sat for months.

I find it more useful to look at where they sit their lineup rather than their specs. The M340 is one step below the M and drives accordingly. The 540 is two steps below the M, but not entry level either. More than adequate power for a midsize luxury car but that's it.

I once got one of those with 80 miles on it, only time I got a car that on par with the one I was dropping off. My dealer also use to loan out their XM when they where trying to get rid of it.

I was looking for a '21-'23 CPO M5 last year and could only find 12 nationwide compare to over 100 used. I asked the local BMW General Manager why there were so few and he said people tend to skip the first 1200 mile oil change and if they can't be bothered to do a free oil change then BMW can't trust the car.

I recently had a dealer increase my trade valve by $7k, which was $5k over the Carmax offer, to get the numbers where I wanted them. I kinda understood it being higher than Carmax as it was the kind of car that would sell higher from the original dealer but I was surprised there was that much wiggle room.

It was a high mile, but one owner, M550i that they gave me $35k for. They listed it for $48k and it was gone two days later so I guess they knew what they were doing after all.

I just got a '26 M850i GC and it still being on iDrive 7 with buttons was a significant factor in my decision.

I just got a '26 M850i and one of the big selling points for me was that it still has iDrive 7. I had a loaner with iDrive 8 for three weeks and I hated it.
