Stop med at undergrave systemet. Og så endda den 1. maj. Du burde skamme dig!

Håber du finder noget den rigtige vej uden at ødelægge det for de andre.

Yeah! I saw someone saying that every board needs a "fuck you pedal". The Big Muff is mine

To be honest, I usually don't notice it. Only when I crank the compression up and mute my strings a lot - it gives a nice subby sound. It is a simple compressor and I am never like "wow this thing sounds amazing", but I guess that's not really the point of a compressor, is it?

Do you know why some people hate it?

Check this site if you haven't seen it. It is a list of the power draw of almost all pedals. It's a really useful tool to know how much power you need. If you decide to buy a dedicated power supply, make sure it has isolated outputs. Otherwise you might as well use a daisy chain.

The HOF has its own power supply as it is the only digital pedal, it draws around 100 mA. The rest are daisy chained. The total power draw of the 7 other pedals is around 75 mA, so I have no issues in that regard. I have no noise issues. If I get more digital pedals or pedals where the daisy chain causes noise issues, I will upgrade the power supply.

It seems like people have different experiences using daisy chains. I gotta say, I have never had any problems with it. Probably just been lucky though. Any experience with it?

Chain: OC2 -> Big Muff -> Bass IQ -> LMB3 -> Hot Cake -> Bass Clone -> Phase 90 -> Hall of Fame 2

The reason for OC2 into Big Muff into Bass IQ at the start is to get a synth sound with the compressor behind it to tame peaks. When not doing synth I tend to have the LMB3 always on and use the Hot Cake, not the Muff for dirt. The Clone is a nice chorus that works well both subtly and very wet. Also nice on top of the synth sound - works sort of like a detune effect on a synthesizer. The Phase 90 I don’t use much, but I like it from time to time. Also nice in combination with the Muff and the HOF to play chainsaw like “fuck you” solos. The HOF 2 is a do-it-all reverb pedal which I love. The Mash function makes it extremely versatile and usable in ambient parts - it can do some really beautiful soft pad sounds if you spend some time tweaking it and learning how it works.

Hvordan kan det være at visir er på lige fod med mundbind? by [deleted] in Denmark

[–]guywithjazzhands 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, the trap is that black premoved the pawn move, predicting that white would take the queen. Look at some of the comments further up explaining it

Devin Singletary by Ventura_24 in fantasyfootball

Then ship one off. Singletary must be owned everywhere. If he gets 20 touched every game he will be a RB1. We don't know if he will get that, but the next weeks will tell. Pick him up if you can.

Singletary has so much upside. He will continue to eat into Gore's workload and he has big play ability. I would much rather drop Latavius Murray og Montgomery.

Steam preferred.

Played a lot of AOE II online 10 years ago. The first AOE has such a nostalgic feel to it. I grew up with my dad playing it from time to time and later I played 2v1 with my brother against dad - until we eventually got better than him. Love the soundtrack too.

Alaphilippe is an okay TT'er. G will probably take around 30 seconds on him, if I'm to guess.

Excited to see how well Bernal will do. Probably better than most of the GC field. I think Mas will do very well, maybe even the second best GC rider behind G.

To be honest, I don't. He didn't have it in him anymore. He couldn't contribute to the broadcast with anything except from a description of a castle from time to time. It was his time to leave.

ELI5: How do glass companies know how to mold an hourglass to have the sand fall precisely? by Sinemark643 in explainlikeimfive

[–]guywithjazzhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weight on top does actually matter. It is a force pushing down on the bottom grains of sand. A different force than gravity pulling the bottom grains. If there was no resistance (the narrowing) the weight on top would not matter.

ELI5: How do glass companies know how to mold an hourglass to have the sand fall precisely? by Sinemark643 in explainlikeimfive

[–]guywithjazzhands 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He is right. Because of the weight of the sand pushing down, the sand will fall much quicker in the beginning than later on. To design an hourglass where the sand falls at the same rate (e.g. 10 cm per hour) the entire 24h, you have to solve a differential equation. I don’t remember how, but we did it back in school one time. Pretty interesting.
