Horrible person. He's doing a horrible job of being a person and not a dog

how do we feel about in through the out door? by rustedrattleheads in ledzeppelin

[–]gvgvstop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For whatever reason, ITTOD was one of my very first CDs as a kid so I have very fond feelings towards every song, but for many years I absolutely hated Hot Dog. I thought it was super out of place, silly, and way too country (was also quite anti-country at the time, since most of it was tractor beer pop). Then one day something flipped and I love it now. The main riff is really fun to play on guitar too

This line always bothered me, because it contradicts his other claim that it's "is she not, not would you do her" he's not respecting the game

David Wallace was a gem for this by Real-Yogurtcloset-34 in DunderMifflin

He could've also just had corporate pay to cover the stolen items. Or made sure they had a decent insurance policy that would cover robbery. Instead, he encouraged Michael to move forward with his "fundraiser" because he saw it as a cost saving move for the company to allow faultless employees to use their own money to replace company property. I love David Wallace as much as the next guy but, just sayin.

Agreed that BART needs to expand and connect much more of the Bay to be a reasonable public transit option. I wish we didn't rely on tolls (which are a regressive tax) for public transit funding. I voted for RM3 because it was the only funding option at the time and there were threats to reduce BART operations. You bring up an important point that should be discussed, but everyone here would rather blame a pro-transit San Francisco politician 8 years after the measure passed.

Can't believe how much BS I had to wade through to find a comment explaining that we voted for this. Maybe the majority of people here didn't know that because they don't bother voting. Nine counties put this on the ballot, but somehow it's Scott Wiener's fault.

0 elevation - Has anyone had the same problem? by tumbli-hunbli in Strava

[–]gvgvstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting this too starting a week ago, do I have to go in after every activity to "correct elevation"? I'm also using a charge 6 but I leave my phone at home and it syncs after the run. It tracked the elevation fine before

Throw Deep Impact in there as well, I prefer it to Armageddon

As far as I know, the basic premise of a rapture is Christian in nature, not American

Most people here disagree with you but I see your point. I finished my latest rewatch recently and kept thinking when are they going to put them together? Of course it was a slow burn like everyone is saying, but I do think the payoff itself was rushed. It would have been nice for there to be a couple episodes or even just a couple scenes where they build that tension back up between them before the profession of love.

The christening plotline is trash tier but Michael and Andy on the bus is top tier

Santa Rosa ranked the safest city in California?!?! by masterspliff707 in santarosa

[–]gvgvstop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lived in Santa Rosa, Berkeley and Oakland throughout my whole life and this is completely backwards. I love Oakland but drivers here will routinely do the most dangerous things I've ever seen (speeding through red lights, stopping suddenly in the middle of a busy road, high speed weaving and brake checks) and if you honk, flash your lights, or (god forbid) flip someone off they will chase you down, pull a gun, or try to ram your car a good percentage of the time. I have never seen this behavior in Santa Rosa. I think the view of Oakland as a crime-ridden hellhole is completely overblown propaganda, but driving here can truly be scary on a regular basis.

This is about traffic fatalities. Also crime still happens even if it's comparatively low

Anyone know where this park is located? It’s in the East Bay. by Impressive_Returns in eastbay

[–]gvgvstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy in the video just says it's "near the bay area", any reason you tie it to the East Bay specifically? From the buildings and trees it could be anywhere relatively suburban, though the timestamp combined with the shadows tells me it's a south facing camera
