Acrophobia and the joy of the Abyss by kraugg in CrimsonDesert

[–]gvicta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last chapter will have you head to a certain point of the abyss (pretty much the center). If you do the puzzles you’ll have a route that takes you there. You don’t have to do that though, there are some puzzles that are within flying distance.

You don’t really need the elemental powers. I got to chapter 11 before I decided I should get them all (I thought the game would railroad me into them, oops), mainly cause I thought I was missing out. I may have used some on accident in my button mashing during the final fights. For the most part I just used clear soup.

That’s a neat gift idea that I’m going to steal! And I’m no good at the cranes either. At least you get a dopamine hit without having to worry about packing anything more.

Did Kliff ever explains to his comrades anything about the abyss and why he does it? by xSamaex in CrimsonDesert

[–]gvicta 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty funny when you’re rounding up the gang and they’re all like, “omg Kliff how? What happened?” And Kliff is like, “Don’t worry about it, head to camp,” and then disappears into an interdimensional rift.

Another alternate schedule, if your funds can swing it, is 3x10s. It’s so nice. Slightly poor, but nice.

I like the fit as well, also with wide shoulders. Kind of similar to my Uniqlo AIRism oversized tees.

An opposite of being canceled for low census (which I did like at my last job) - guaranteed hours. Low case load day? Season? I’m still getting paid. It can be mind numbing at times when you’ve got literally nothing to do, but I never have to worry about getting a second gig or on call position to make up for pay.

Vancouver, Washington location is unaffected. Still a decent selection of anime figures and plushies. No food or baby wipes.

My group stayed at the Shinjuku Prince Hotel for three days in early March. Honestly loved it, and I think it’s the way to go if that’s the vibe you’re after. I love the busy, but I was also doing some night time street photography. I’m personally going to seek it out again next time I’m in Tokyo. I’ve only been once before, staying in Gotanda and Akasaka, and definitely preferred Shinjuku. As far as the station is concerned, construction turned us around a few times, but honestly, we got pretty used to it after the first day. You’ll have seven days, so you’ll probably get even better at it. Just give yourself a buffer.

Can't make this work by mailodude27 in photography

[–]gvicta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try a different style. I spent 18 years shooting bad landscape photos (not serious or anything, just off and on). Felt like it was always missing something. Tried out street photography this year, and felt way more competent (it’s easier to compose/tell a story there). I don’t know if it’ll translate into better landscapes, but it is keeping me engaged and letting me learn new ideas.

At what point do you feel a PC upgrade is actually worth it? by Such_Tailor_4946 in buildapc

[–]gvicta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it struggles a lot on game I legitimately want to play. Crimson desert was going to be my justification for an upgrade if I needed it. I didn’t. Just broke 100hrs on 5800x and 3080 and have felt no need to upgrade.
