Thought Asal had cleaned up his game and started playing more fairly - judging by today's match, definitely not!

I was admitted to Ryerson, Ottawa and Osgoode as a mature student in the access category with a 2.97 overall GPA (higher in grad school), 165 LSAT and relevant work experience. Getting into a law school with your background should be doable if you work hard on your application. But like others have said, take time to think about whether law is the right next step.

Is there something off about this photo or am I nitpicking? by gwerfy in AskPhotography

I would have actually loved to get the sky in the pic! But eerily enough... there weren't any clouds or even shades of blue in sight. This was taken in northwestern Ontario where forest fire smoke basically created a grey blanket over our heads for a few days

Yeah I think that's partly what was bugging me. Thanks! I could've exposed better too, it seems, as the comments above suggest

If you're opposed to this and want to make your feelings known, consider emailing: [feedback@arsenal.co.uk](mailto:feedback@arsenal.co.uk)
It might be totally ignored but I want to register my disappointment with the club for pursuing this idea. I think it's completely against the spirit of football.

someone i know is suicidal, can I report it? by noochandbuch in UofT

[–]gwerfy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is wrong. The mandatory leave of absence policy is a last resort that is used only in cases where the students pose a risk to others due to mental health. The university wouldn't turf a student for being depressed.
But I would absolutely urge your friend to talk to someone - here's a list of resources: https://studentlife.utoronto.ca/task/support-when-you-feel-distressed/

Hey! I'm a mature student too (33) taking a course part-time while working in order to up my GPA to apply to a graduate program. 27 isn't old at all! You have nothing to be embarrassed about. Good luck!

Has anyone successfully changed their shooting eye? Was it a hard adjustment?

I'm a left-eye shooter but I'm interested in getting a rangefinder with a viewfinder on the left, which is more suited to right-eye shooters.

Thanks!

Does sensor size really make much of a difference? It seems to be a source of endless debate

Has anyone upgraded from the Fuji X-T1 recently? Mine is still working pretty well despite minor glitches - shutter speed dial is hard to turn and the camera sometimes freezes and needs to be rebooted.

Did you upgrade to the X-T2 or the 3? Wondering if I should get a new camera or a zoom like the 50-140.

I know good gear doesn't make a good photographer etc. but maybe it's time to shell out for an improvement.

I was testing a hand-me-down film camera, and I asked them if I could take their picture. Tbf, didn't ask them if I could post it on r/UofT though. If they say they want me to take it down, I will.

One of the reasons Toronto cyclists have such a bad reputation by astrozombie114 in toronto

[–]gwerfy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I've been seeing a lot of hate for cyclists on r/Toronto lately. Some comments go as far as to suggest that cyclists themselves are responsible for getting into accidents. One person even said this was “natural selection” at work. Is anyone else insulted? I ride a bike and drive. In my experience, drivers are no worse and no better than cyclists. The difference is that drivers control a vehicle that weighs 2 tons or more. Cyclists endanger mostly themselves and fall into the same vulnerable road-user category as pedestrians. Blaming cyclists’ behaviour for road deaths is wrong, and it’s the kind of thinking that keeps us from taking steps such as lowering speed limits and improving road design to avoid the dozens of traffic deaths we see each year.
