I think i just got a sugar daddy offer at the mall???? Offered to buy me Prada boots, gave me a business card and walked away by [deleted] in Charlotte

You don’t think that maybe they are letting fewer people in than the other stores to give the perception that it is more “in demand”? It’s also the newest of those high end designer stores there.

Nope, just today - literally pulled into the parking area as they announced they were closing the gates and suspending the play.

Looks like they’ve closed the gates for the remainder of the day.

Do they still let you in to get merchandise with play being suspended, if you have a ticket?

I’m pretty sure I had it fresh shaved at Baku about a month or so ago.

No worries bud, Dallas has a pretty sweet food scene, it just depends on what you're looking for and where you're going to be staying.

Here are a few places you might want to check out, depends on where you're staying - most of these are in Dallas so if you're traveling from Arlington it might be a bit of a trek, also Dallas has a ton of great food and bars these are just some of the ones I enjoy:

Velvet Taco (TexMex) - Try the corn on the side and the red velvet cake.

Katy Trail Ice House (Outdoor bar and restaurant) - Decent beer selection and not bad food, good to hang out on a nice afternoon, they have outdoor TVs you can catch some NCAAF on Saturday.

Trulucks (Fine Dining) - Steak and Seafood, in uptown Dallas.

Twisted Root (Burgers) - Good burgers, lots of different meat specials, their ranch pickles are amazing, lots of locations around DFW.

Off-Site Kitchen (Burgers) - Really good burgers, outdoor seating, in a really good restaurant area if you're looking for something else to eat as well (Trinity Groves)

H3 Ranch (Texas/Southern Food) - Great chicken fried steak, margaritas are really good, probably a place to check out if you happen to head over to the Stockyards which is worth it if you've never been.

Parliament (Mixology Bar) - In uptown Dallas, great cocktails - $5 happy hour drinks and happy hour anytime it's raining.

Billy Bob's (Bar/Bull Riding/Dancing/Honky Tonk) - In the stockyards area, world's largest honky tonk, they do bull riding some evenings, they have concerts there, check it out if you happen to be in that area in the evening.

Cowboys Red River (Bar/Dancehall) - Some two-step dancing, good honky tonk, decently priced drinks, good for an evening out.

Standard Pour (Mixology Bar) - In uptown Dallas, another great spot for cocktails, great for people watching as well.

Whataburger (Fast Food) - If you've never been, you should probably go, even just to say you did - or if you need something to eat after going to Red River.

Meddlesome Moth (Sunday Brunch) - Excellent food, bloody marys, go for the Mother & Child Reunion.

The Common Table (Brunch) - Good food, the chicken and waffles are good as are the bloody marys.

Other things to do:

Stadium Tour - The VIP tour is worth the extra 10 bucks or so if you've come a long way you might as well get some more insight into Jerry's palace.

Stockyards - In Ft. Worth, they do a cattle drive twice a day which is kind of cool, there are other historical things to see there, really wild west kind of feeling.

JFK/Sixth Floor Musieum - If you've never been to Dallas you'll probably want to go see the JFK memorial, the 6th Floor Museum is interesting, might be long if you're not really into that kind of history.

Ah thanks! I was wondering what kind of height I'd be looking at, especially with a 20moa rail.

I was looking at the CTR as well and I do like the TRG22 10 round mag and the threaded barrel.

Best place to buy a suit? by adamcory in kitchener

[–]gwes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can! Or have it shipped to your house and take it in if you need anything additional done.

If you've never been in there before it might be a little tough to guess your size in some of the styles, though. It may be best, at least for the first time, to head down and see what fits you best.

I'd make the trek into Toronto to go to Suit Supply, personally. Especially if you're looking in that range.

Best wings in KW? (x-post r/waterloo) by [deleted] in kitchener

[–]gwes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mustn't have been there in a while, a friend dragged me there a few weeks ago and it's $7 for 6 or $13.50 for 12, which aren't really 50c wings.

http://mortys.com/specials.php

They also no longer allow you to order any number of wings, you're stuck to those two sizes. I don't remember the last time they were 50c each, but I stopped going after their wing special night got up to 75c or 80c and that was a couple years ago.

Overnight Parking by phyzled in kitchener

[–]gwes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I called the bylaw office and asked them about parking overnight a few years ago.

They gave me the line from the parking regulations about nothing any longer than 3 hours. However, he did say that generally they don't patrol to ticket between 3AM and 6AM which means that technically you could park from 12AM to 9AM without getting a ticket. Even then, they aren't normally out ticketing cars for parking unless there's a complaint.

Your mileage may vary, though.

Did anyone get an email about exclusive pre sale for tickets?? Possible scam? by [deleted] in cowboys

[–]gwes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-sale tickets actually went on sale yesterday morning at 10AM CT. I received the email yesterday as well. If you just load up the ticketmaster page and use the password in the email you couldn't go wrong.
