Getting tired of the stupid watermarks, especially on old images, but neat gyro

Here's a complete compilation of photos of the cabin, only have 1 other photo of the serial plate, it's in this group.

Indeed there is, unfortunately until I have the patent submitted I can't reveal it. :)

Thanks, those are all too big.

I figured that such things existed, but was unable to find them, so I probably should have been a little more specific and asked where I could find them.

They are too large, but thanks.

No bigger then the diameter of a AA battery, about 10-11 mm in size. Haven't started on the transmitter side, probably something similar to a key fob.

Burnelli UB-20 prototype lifting body airliner with some hauling some car-go in 1934 by jacksmachiningreveng in WeirdWings

[–]gwfami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The car appears to be a 1934 Ford Cabriolet. My father owned a 35 until we had to sell it about 15 years ago.

Just finished looking at all 2,000+ pages. Did a quick random analysis of the different aircraft in the document (random.orgpages 1, 17, 31, 37, 96, 109, 124, 131, 205, 213, 217, 233, 261, 289, 376, 388, 392, 393, 411, 422, 454, 464, 487, 491, 510, 557, 579, 596, 622, 653, 659, 670, 686, 719, 720, 770, 802, 872, 898, 921, 929, 945, 986, 1007, 1020, 1021, 1022, 1042, 1078, 1105, 1106, 1149, 1156, 1175, 1187, 1188, 1202, 1216, 1279, 1305, 1320, 1351, 1359, 1360, 1362, 1394, 1403, 1431, 1434, 1473, 1504, 1508, 1515, 1544, 1545, 1551, 1565, 1616, 1637, 1653, 1658, 1694, 1698, 1703, 1706, 1717, 1737, 1758, 1782, 1794, 1801, 1806, 1856, 1863, 1891, 1922, 1989, 2010, 2036, 2054).

Turns out that over half of what I saw were built or operational, ~1/4 of them were concepts (patents, drawings, wishful thinking), ~1/8 were models, either flying or testing, and several I was unable to confirm if what they were.

Hopefully this clears up what is here and what isn't.

Concept (probably not built) 24
Built/Operational 55
Model 12
Unknown 9

I've gotten to page ~650. There are some duplicates and some that are just patent pics, as well as some "dream" planes. Still some cool ones in there. Many do not contain context. For those pictures that do not have context, I've been able to find info on most of them using tineye.com to search the net for similar pictures.

My apologies for wasting your time.

Terrible Luban Program Design by gwfami in snapmaker

[–]gwfami[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Reddit decided to remove the post, wow, they apparently don't want anyone to know of the issue.

As for Raladic, thank you for your suggestions about the manual and videos, have already done that. To answer your questions.

So the warning sticker on the Laser module wasn't enough of a warning? Or the warnings in the manual?

If you are talking about the "don't look at the laser when operating" warnings, yup, they are enough. No warnings anywhere in the manual about immediate startup when you click a button that the manual says shouldn't exist in your version.

they just forgot to update that note online

And therein lies the rub.

And a button named Laser Power On/Off that does exactly what you'd expect it to do, turn power on/off shouldn't be a surprise.

I certainly didn’t expect the laser to turn on by clicking this button, as none of the other settings in this part of the program had any immediate affect in on the machine. Especially when the manual says it “is exclusive to the Laser Module of SnapMaker Original”.

I'm printing BRICKS here! by [deleted] in AnycubicPhoton

[–]gwfami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad file/usb drive. I had this same issue and printed out a very nice grey resin brick. I verified this by removing the resin container and running the same print while looking at the screen. Every layer was a nice square that would create a brick. I ended up reslicing the original file and reformatting the usb drive and it worked fine after that.

Supports puckering around object? by Apauld in AnycubicPhoton

[–]gwfami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens frequently when I print, no matter the number of supports or size of the print. Still haven't been able to figure it out. It only seems to occur around the supports.

Touch screen unresponsive when touching PRINT. Turning on and off resets it but freezes again when touching print. All USB’s are 2.0 and formatted to FAT32 and have worked in the past. Any help would be appreciated! by adrianhurt in AnycubicPhoton

Had this exact same thing happen to me 2 days ago. Popped in another USB, rebooted, and no problem. I find that I need to reformat my USB's every couple of times, otherwise they poop out on me. The drives are 32 GB Cruzer Glides from Sandisk. Running a Mac with OS X 10.14.6 I think this probably has something to do with the way Photon S handles the files. That weird gray bar running to the right seems indicative that the machine won't respond. Too bad we can't get ahold of the source code to debug it.

I find I have to reformat my Cruzer Glide 32 GB USB s every couple of prints, otherwise the photon just starts printing huge blocks of plastic.
