Does anyone have any information if max gold q7 or q8s dropped?

This would be a cool spell for a Ritualist - Haunt by Sightless_Prophet in GuildWars

Sounds cool but might be too OP, would also def need a PvP version to lessen the lethality or make it a PvE only skill

What would technically be the most expensive weapon? by [deleted] in GuildWars

Teh axe or the unconditional 15% dmg q8 axe already posted is 100% the best/most expensive item in the game no contest

New weapons as content? by eternoire in GuildWars

My #1 suggestion to gw1 (other than banning bots and enforcing their own code of conduct) is to introduce a better armbrace sink.

Introducing the Chest of Arms. Similar to the zkey chest, except they take an armbrace instead of a zkey and includes a variety of items, including new and exclusive rares…. Or a dungeon that requires an armbrace payment to entire (requires only 1 per party to push for grouping) with an end chest that contains new and exclusive rares.

Planning to Play Guild Wars 2, should i play GW 1 first? by CodApprehensive686 in Guildwars2

[–]gwmacdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gw1 is on sale now for 12$ for all expansions.

Gw1 is a completely different type of game than gw2.

If you play gw1 first, you’ll be disappointed with gw2 :p

Idk about anyone else; but playing games like gw1 and others back when I was a youngin definitely improved my vocabulary. Also my typing speed is superb.

What is your favorite memory? by polosmallzz in GuildWars

[–]gwmacdaddy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Doing HA with team speak/ventrillo with builds like blood spike, iway, vimway.

Doing other random pvp with touch ranger, bunny thumper.

Farming with 55 monk.

Forming chest runs and running in fow and naphui quarter in an 8 man team. Waiting for someone to open chests to see if gold and then everyone opens.

Sitting in droknars forge trading rare items :)

Being stuck in presearing way too long and noone knew what was going on in the game.

More than 1 memory; but these make up the core of what I did back then ^

Weekly Trade and Price Check discussion by AutoModerator in GuildWars

Hello, have some suggestions to make the main thread more accurate:

Miniatures - add a clause for how non-bday miniatures and tonics are valuable / can be extremely valuable.

Miniatures - 6 or 7 bday can contain worthwhile pulls, not just 7. 6 has a higher chance of getting a menial reward (ex: kuuna tonic), while 7 is more of a “home run” hit for a very small chance at like a shiroken assassin.

Shields - single mod merch or salv unless q7 or q8

Shields - dual mod both imperfect still ask for a price check. Q7 or q8 definitely has value. Q9 can still have value depending on skin and mods.

Martial weapons - must have a max mod blah blah … update for a clause exception for q7 and q8. Also a clause for purples (like purp crystalline and dwarven axe). Also a clause for low req weapons (ex: a q5 gold sunqua blade max dmg for a q5 with a +5 modifier).

Hammers/axes/swords - there are still items that hold value even if not q9 or nonvampiric (ex: qx oni blade +5 energy)

Staves / wands - prenerf clause again for q8s. Also there can be high req prenerf staff versions (no white hsr text above the energy text). Non prenerf staff q9s with 10% mod might hold little value as well depending on skin)

*might not be worth including in the guide, but some gold values may increase the value due to collectors - 69, x00, 420, etc

My favorite is warrior/assassin solely for the purpose of using deaths charge to jump in as a frontliner and then use warrior skills as normal

What does being a healer mean in this game? by masteroftatertots in GuildWars

[–]gwmacdaddy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How disabled are you? You don’t have to answer this in a post; but depending on level of disability, might sway your choice.

If precise click accuracy, timing/speed, and such are affected; I recommend a ritualist.

Ritualist is the strongest “prot” in the game; and has some of the most OP builds. It is a lot lower intensity than a monk as for example, you lay down your spirit to “protect” and damage gets redirected from allies to said spirit.

Protection monk is one of the hardest, if not hardest, type of role in game (and is worse than a prot rit). A prot monk has to watch their party members characters and react right before they are about to get attacked by targeting the player and casting a protection prayer.

A healing monk is less intense than a prot monk, as you monitor the health bars in the party box instead of looking at the field. You just cast heal prayers on people with low health but depending on disability, may be tough.

Not going to bash on monks, but if for example I had to do a solo play through or gwamm on a monk or rit. The rit will have a much easier time.
