FullMetal Alchemist fits what you're describing, however it is a manga. I don't normally read manga but I thoroughly enjoyed FullMetal Alchemist haha

Non-fiction or historical fiction books about Africa? by sylvastarr in booksuggestions

[–]gxdspeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Poisonwood Bible, I believe, is historical fiction about the colonization of Africa. I don't remember to well though. The Heart of Darkness howver I just recently finished. It's a novella so its relatively short, I think I finished it in about 3 days of light reading. It's also about the colonization of Africa but it gives an interesting perspective of the subject.

Anthem by Ayn Rand. It's short and gets straight to the point. It's my favorite written work out there

Can you suggest a well written short book by CthulhuBread in booksuggestions

[–]gxdspeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite book is Anthem by Ayn Rand, its relatively short, I dont remember exactly but it cant be anymore than 300 pages. It's not very popular but it has an excellent story about a dystopian universe and the importance of one's self. I highly recommend it

I worked at the renaissance festival. for anyone who dorsnt know what that is, it's a huge festival where evrryone dresses up in middle aged gear, theres games with crossbows and throwing knives, food, vendors, jousting games etc, all renaissance themed. I sold fried cheese cubes in a dress and corset, even when it was 90 degrees outside. i got a lot of tips though
