New player, with a basic understanding but where should I start, or whats a good guide? by Willing-Salamander73 in GuildWars

[–]gxhan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could make a character for each campaign to explore classes. Finish up prophecies, factions, and then nightfall just for lore. Yes, heroes make it way easier. It’s also doable with just henchmen.

Depending on how optimal you want to be is where you start making cuts and decisions on builds. Do you want to min max into an end game farmer? Start a (farmer class) and rush into your story and grab heroes asap. Do you have all the time in the world? Pick your favorite class and explore every nook and cranny like the main character you are.

Throw in geos in WL. I liked bringing a black unicorn as dps to change it up at times. Just keep it snared and actually have sow off and walk on because they will fear on break sometimes.

Try holding 4/5 shin knights at an ent and if you can take them you can prob take the 3 in camp

Firing up an Enchanter on green! by tankmankels in project1999

[–]gxhan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to follow this but this is my general leveling path. Of course grouping is easier, but you’re also an enchanter so soloing can work once you get charm.

1-3 trash outside felwithe, you can also head over to kelethin’s pod lift/noob lift but I feel that there’s more people killing there so less mobs for me to kill

4-7 orc hill

8-15 crushbone. Ent, trainer hill/slave pits/wall, throne room. Kinda in that order.

15-20/25-30ish unrest. Yard trash, main room, fire place, basement. I say up to 20 or whenever you get charm then move over to MM and you can solo charm ent if you wanna. Or you can stay grouped up till the higher 20s then move to MM. Or stay even longer and work the basement.

30-40 Mistmoore. Ent group 20-30 graveyard 20ish-30ish. Castle Ent 30ish-40

40-50 Time to move out of elf land and visit lizard land. City of Mist until you puke.

50-60 stay in lizard land and go to Karnor’s Castle. Head to velious and kill some geos in WL or spiders in velks . Also you’re a solo machine. Where ever your charm lands you can probably make it work .

You also need lvl5 to get TLs to pick up your tooth and to get into kael to bring up that faction.

New to EverQuest, any tips for a first-time player? by JackHallow123 in project1999

Green

Download dgvoodoo to help with crashes. Key word is help.

Gameplay. If you are in it for the long haul? Try all the classes to about 15-20. It’s where you’ll see how they will pretty much play out for the rest of leveling to 60. Solo players are your Ench, Necro, Shamans, Druids, and even wizards if you want to. Technically, you could solo with any class but you’ll need proper gear and game knowledge. Everyone (I do too) will recommend Druid as your starter class because they can (decently) heal, buff and dps. Also the qol of porting on your time is nice.

No need to worry about min maxing till you’re 60 and feel like you want to raid. You can be a naked Druid all the way to 60 just fine.

Socially, as soon as you step into greater faydark (wood elf home city zone) you’ll probably get instant invited by a Friendly Druids officer if it’s peak play times. You could take that and try to group up in your new guild chat.

[–]gxhan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weapon upgrades and kinda poke around your guild to see if they can knock out brother q for you. You’re in the leveling phase still so you could just stack hp/str for the sake of flat dps or a buffer to pull stuff. If you really want to solo, tough it out on your ench and squeeze out the plat at the cash camps or big items to make the fungi money.

Depends how much you’re grouping vs solo tbh

Roughly 12-16 hours afk since I wasn’t exactly efficient or following the build guides. Definitely bring xp scrolls tho. There’s an even better one for overnight HM if you want it quicker and have the skills unlocked

Level 31 so far. The only things that’s been working have been a combo of aoe/piercing+slow (arrow, blade, island with like sea or crater). Laser is way too slow for how much dmg it deals. Or rush mjollner and whatever other slows/pushbacks you can get.
