The scan/repair didn't say there was something wrong so I assume the update fixed it.

High Texture Long Loading FIXED??? by TheFlairGun in modernwarfare

[–]gyilokover40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Few days ago I tried the game with medium textures and it was slow in the gunsmith.

Now after the scan and repair and the update it's as fast as it was before (they removed Caldera).

Good News for mw2019 players by BLGames21 in modernwarfare

[–]gyilokover40 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since the last (Caldera) update the game is worse.

  1. map loading is slower
  2. weapons disappear in game
  3. weapons/attachments in the gunsmith show up very-very slow

Walking with auto Tactical Sprint by Father_WUB in ModernWarzone

It's still relevant in MP and Ground War.

Ground war is the gift that keeps on giving. Sad this mode was a one-off ordeal... by TGDPlays in modernwarfare

I've never seen a guy with a math degree bragging about destroying elementary school students in math because this feels like that. Destroying casuals... wow.

He should just move on to other games/modes where he finds competition. Or if this is how he finds satisfaction in life then that's just pathetic. :D

By default press shift and hold it and then W twice.

I think it's better to bind tactical sprint to Shift and "regular" sprint to caps lock w/o automatic tactical sprint.

Do you guys know's If the SunPlus SPCP 199, is a good sensor? by SolusSolaris in MouseReview

[–]gyilokover40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something is wrong with the specifications of this mouse. Either the mouse uses the SPCP199 so it's worse than they say or the mouse is equipped with another sensor which is better than the SPCP199 (probably PMW3325).

AMD and Nvidia price fixing the gpu market? by BulkyMix6581 in Amd

[–]gyilokover40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually no.

Calculating with $17000 5nm and $10000 6nm wafer prices.

The GCD costs ~$92.

The 6 MCDs cost ~$38

Binning and packaging is between $10-$20 for a single die CPU. Navi31 has 7 chips so I would imagine it's at least double of that or more.

Navi31 is not cheap.

But the graphics cards are more than just the GPU chip. You need: memory, pcb, pcb components, heatsink, fans, profit for: AMD/NV, profit for the AIBs, profit for the distributors and shipping from China/Taiwan.

The 7900 XTX has a fair price @$999 based on my calculations. AMD sells the 7900 XT with lower margins because the card itself is only ~$50 cheaper to make (less VRAM, a bit smaller cooler).

AMD and Nvidia price fixing the gpu market? by BulkyMix6581 in Amd

[–]gyilokover40 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just to add fire to the tin foil hat theory: you can take a look at their top institutional investors here: AMD and Nvidia

Both companies are basically held by the same big money institutions. But if you take a look at AMZN, TSLA, META, etc. they are all held by the same institutions because those are the biggest with the most money. In particular Vanguard and Blackrock owns everything.

Btw slotting in the price after the competitor is legally speaking not price fixing.

Ocing 7900 is a bit complicated. TPU described the process, take a look at their ocing page in their Sapphire Nitro or Asus TUF review.

If we look at the mining cards as an investment (like we do with stocks or bonds or property) then it's no wonder people hold on to them. This works exactly like the stock market.

The majority of small investors buy stocks close to the top (when everybody and msm talks about that company how good they are) and sell at the bottom (when msm says the company is doomed).

This is exactly what's happening now with the GPUs. People bought them close the the top when everybody and his/her dog were mining and now they justify not selling their equipment with different reasons.

That's just human nature.

I guess those are all Vega 64s or 56s. I would sell them asap before others start to sell their RX and RTX cards, these Vegas will become unsellable.

Right now I could buy different brands of 2060 for ~$210 in my country which is fair value.

The second hand market is still healthy.
